Both Teams to Score @ 1.75

I’m more than happy to back both teams to get on the scoresheet at Easter Road on Saturday evening. Both teams have scored in each of Hibernian’s opening three league games of the season, including their home matches with both Kilmarnock and St Mirren.

While Dundee United have made a mixed start to their campaign, they have scored multiple goals in each of their three top-flight outings this term, one of which was against Hearts. However, at the other end of the park, Jim Goodwin’s side have conceded five goals across their opening three league games of the season, playing out a pair of high-scoring contests with both Falkirk and Hearts.

With all that in mind, goals at both ends look well worthy of support in this capital clash.

Kieron Bowie to Score Anytime @ 1.95

With an entertaining encounter anticipated at Easter Road, I’m also keen to back Kieron Bowie to get on the scoresheet. Bowie has been one of Hibernian’s standout performers during the opening weeks of the season, most notably scoring a long-range wondergoal against Partizan Belgrade in a Europa Conference League qualifier. The 22-year-old forward has also scored two goals across the two Scottish Premiership matches that he has started this term.

Given how shaky Dundee United’s defence have looked at times this season, Bowie looks well placed to make the net bulge on Saturday evening. The touch of insurance offered with SBK’s Fresh Legs feature only adds to the appeal of siding with this selection.

🟢 No More European Hangovers for Hibs

I think it would be fair to say that Hibernian’s continental commitments have impacted their domestic results and performances across the early weeks of the season. That being said, David Gray’s side are yet to taste defeat in this season's Scottish Premiership, kicking off their campaign with a win away at Dundee before playing out a pair of home draws with both Kilmarnock and St Mirren.

Now that Hibs are out of Europe and have a less taxing schedule to contend with, I suspect that they will start turning those draws into victories in the weeks and months ahead.

While the season is still in its infancy, Hibs are currently ranked as the best-behaved team in the Scottish Premiership, collecting a league-low three yellow cards so far.

🟠 Derby Delight for Dundee United

Dundee United picked up their first Scottish Premiership win of the season by defeating arch-rivals Dundee 2-0 away from home before the international break. It was a comfortable derby success for the Terrors, who restricted the Dark Blues to a lowly xG of just 0.12.

Not only will Jim Goodwin have taken satisfaction from that victory, but he will also have been delighted to see his side post their first clean sheet of the season.

It's worth noting that Dundee United racked up five yellow cards in their opening Scottish Premiership away game of the season at Falkirk before collecting three cautions when hosting Hearts just one week later.

📊 Hibernian v Dundee United H2H

Last season Hibernian and Dundee United came up against each other for the first time since the 2022-23 campaign. Hibs triumphed in two of the four meetings between the pair last term, including each of the final two.

Dundee United picked up a win in the first of last season’s four fixtures between the sides, with the subsequent showdown seeing the points shared.

There was no shortage of entertainment when these two teams went head-to-head last season, with both teams scoring in each of the four meetings, not to mention two of the four tussles featured a red card.
