Our first free horse racing tip of the day comes in the 12:27 at Lingfield, where we have ANGEL’S DREAM, coming in with a Racing Rating of 16.

A six-year-old gelding who successfully started his hurdles career last year when opening his account at the third time of asking in a maiden hurdle, after placing third in two novice events. Hoping to kick on from his first win, Angel’s Dream has struggled in handicaps since, failing to make the placings in his next six hurdles appearances. Making the switch to fences in June, his first appearance resulted in him making a mistake at the 7th fence, which ended his debut early before taking a 179-day break.

Returning last month, the break did him the world of good when he returned racing over course and distance for the first time and landing his first chase victory. Beating today’s rival, Superstylin, in the process, Angel’s Dream looks a solid bet to follow up on his return win and secure two course and distance wins in quick succession.

A four-year-old who has turned into a handful on the flat this year, racing 10 times and recording five wins, he has been producing top form of late and is looking to bring the same form into his hurdles appearances. Making the switch to hurdles after failing to land his four-timer in a tougher event at Doncaster (6th of 23), Miller Spirit’s first race over hurdles came here over course and distance, where he didn’t disappoint on debut.

Winning comfortably by 1 ½ lengths and always doing enough on debut, it was the perfect transition from the flat considering there were three hurdles excluded from the race due to low sun. A likely candidate to improve further given his flat history, and returning today on similar ground, the double is well within reach.

Rounding up Wednesday’s free Racing Ratings tips, we are heading to Newbury for the 14:25, where we have GENERAL MEDRANO, coming in with a Racing Rating of 15.

A seven-year-old gelding who showed positive signs over hurdles in his earlier career but has kicked on exceptionally well when making the switch to fences late last year. Getting his chasing career off to the perfect start, General Medrano landed a double when producing two wide-margin victories of nine and
three lengths. Dominant performances that he couldn’t replicate in his next five appearances, producing results of 2,5,4,3,7 before taking a break.

Up and down form before undergoing wind surgery in August this year, he returned at Haydock last month after a 215-day break, where he finished a close second behind Dr T J Eckleburg. A quick turnaround for his latest race, General Medrano produced a career-best performance at Newbury when dominating a tougher class two event by nine lengths, and although receiving a 10lb rise on the back of this, in his current mood he should prove tough to stop.
