Leeds v Bristol City
Kick Off: Monday 28th April at 20:00
Leeds’ seasonal goal has already been fulfilled. Bristol City can confirm their play-off place with a win here, so one would assume that it is the Robins that have the greater motivation in this match.
However, motivation does not always mean that the result is a foregone conclusion, how much does it mean to Leeds’ players and coaching team to finish the home season with a win and the chance to keep the title win in their own hands on final day?
⭐ Leeds v Bristol City Best Bet
The question of motivation makes the match betting market, and any derivatives of such, a very thorny situation to navigate.
Leeds are a much bigger price than they would've been a week or two ago when promotion was still on the line. Indeed, their current price is bigger than at any other time in the second half of the campaign, but the fact that Bristol City could really do with something themselves does potentially have an impact.
It is difficult to back the Robins away from home, though. Only four wins from 22 on their travels tell a story, and perhaps steers us to another potential solution.
A City win here guarantees a play-off place, so some attacking onus should be incumbent upon them at some stage of the match. Leeds’ rout of Stoke suggests that they are in rude health from an attacking standpoint.
Leeds’ last three home matches have gone over 2.5 goals, and four of Bristol City's last five matches have gone over this mark as well, so the potential for goals on this Monday night kick-off is there under a potential party atmosphere under the Elland Road lights.

The Dominican international left-back has become a big goal threat for Leeds in the second half of the season. He scored another goal from the centre of the six-yard box against Stoke on Easter Monday, and has now taken shots in each of his last three matches. His shot average is now 0.94 per 90 for the season, which rises to 1.13 per 90 in Leeds’ last 10 matches

Earthy began his loan spell, mainly making an impact off the bench and being used in different roles.
However, he has started four of the last five as the left-sided forward, and his contribution has skyrocketed. He has hit 11 shots in his last four matches, which has seen his shots per 90 up to 1.64 per 90.

💻 Leeds v Bristol City Form and Tactics
By this stage, we know exactly how Daniel Farke likes to set up his Leeds team. The tricky thing for this particular fixture is how strong will Farke go with his lineup? The 4-2-3-1 system will remain, with attacking full-backs to provide the width and shooting threats coming from the whole front four.
Leeds have very much recovered from their little wobble with four wins in a row, making it eight unbeaten now. They were magnificent at home to Stoke last time out, thrashing them 6-0. They will surely want to complete the home season with another dominant win, following the theme of the season with 17 wins from 22 home matches and a +45 goal difference.
Bristol City have very much relied on home form to get them into the play-off mix. They have won only four away matches from 22, though they have also drawn 10. They have won three of their last five, but haven't won any of their last four away games.
Liam Manning currently has Bristol City playing a 3-4-2-1 system, but can be flexible in switching to a back 4 when required. However, given the difficulty of the fixture, it is likely that he will still stick to the back three. Cam Pring has been playing out of position as the left-sided CB, which does at least give a left-footed balance, and the use of Ross McCrorie at LWB means that West Ham loanee George Earthy has licence to affect the game further up the pitch. Nakhi Wells has been in vintage form recently, whilst Max Bird and Jason Knight will be charged with pulling the strings, and Joe Williams will run the hard yards.
