Wilfred Ndidi provides the grit in the Leicester midfield so it won’t come a as surprise to most that the Nigerian international has given away the most fouls (14) for his club this season.

To be fair to Ndidi, nobody in the Foxes squad has put in close to as many tackles as he has. The combative midfielder has made 32 tackles so far this season, 19 of which he has won, and the majority of those tackles have been made in Leicester’s defensive third (18/32).

Only Jamie Vardy and Facundo Buonanotte have picked up as many yellow cards as Ndidi this season (3), with the Nigerian averaging 1.75 fouls per game this season.

New Zealand international Chris Wood is the current top scorer for Nottingham Forest this season with five goals in eight Premier League appearances. As you might expect, nobody in the Forest side has taken more shots than Wood this season (15) and the 32-year-old has hit the target 10 times which makes for a SoT ratio of 66.7%.

Wood is averaging 1.40 shots on target per 90 minutes this season and boasts an xG of 3.4, so you can see why we’re backing the Forest striker to have at least one shot on target against the Foxes on Friday night.

Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has been kept busy in the early stages of the season and we’re expecting the Danish international to make at least three saves on Friday.

Hermansen has started all eight league games for the Foxes this season, conceding 14 goals. However, of the 51 shots on target against the Leicester keeper, Hermansen has made 38 saves which makes for a save percentage of 74.5%.

Leicester go up against a Nottingham Forest side that like to take plenty of shots. Five of the Forest team have taken 10+ shots so far this season, compared to the Foxes who only boast one player, Facundo Buonanotte, who has taken 10+ shots.

Matz Sels has been a busy boy between the sticks for Nottingham Forest this season and his overall performance has been excellent so far.

The Belgian keeper has faced 32 shots on target from the opposition in his eight Premier League appearances and the former Newcastle United shot-stopper has made an impressive 26 saves which works out at a save percentage of 84.4%.

Leicester’s Facundo Buonanotte is likely to provide the most shots against Sels on Friday as the Argentinian has taken 13 shots, the most of any Foxes’ player. Abdul Fatawu has taken nine shots this season for Friday’s hosts but is yet to score which bodes well for Sels in the Forest goal.

We could see this game ending in a 1-1 draw as both teams look to be in good form right now and full of confidence, which is one of the reasons we’re backing under 2.5 goals to be scored.

Three of the hosts’ last five match in all competitions have witnessed fewer than three goals and five of their guests’ last six outings have also produced under 2.5 goals.

An exact total of two goals have been scored in half of Leicester’s home games this season, while 38% of Nottingham Forest’s games in the Premier League have featured two goals. Three or more goals have been featured in just 12% of the visitors matches.

Leicester City’s Argentine midfielder Facundo Buonanotte has been one of their most attacking players this season. The former Brighton youngster has had 13 shots in his seven Premier League appearances for the Foxes, which is the highest in the home side’s squad by four.

Five of Buonaotte’s efforts have hit the target and three have produced goals, giving the 19-year-old a SoT ratio of 38.5% which is the second highest of any of his teammates that have taken six or more shots this season.

Buonanotte clearly likes to take a crack at goal and currently averages 2.62 shots per 90 minutes.
