3 Selections @ 3.20

Anthony Elanga to have 1+ Shots on Target

Elanga has had 21 shots on target across his 28 Premier League appearances this season (0.84 per 90). This record has returned six goals for the winger, making him Forest’s second top goalscorer in the Premier League behind Chris Wood (19).

Nottingham Forest ran out 3-1 winners in the initial meeting between these sides at the King Power Stadium. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had 20 shots in the game with five of these efforts finding the target. They managed these numbers despite only having 36% of the ball, which encapsulates everything that Forest are about.

Elanga found the target in Forest’s most recent Premier League outing against Crystal Palace and can once again be a goal threat here with his speed and directness bound to cause issues for a Leicester backline. Leicester have conceded 42 goals across their 17 away games in the Premier League this season - more than any other side in the division.

Neco Williams to Commit 1+ Fouls

Williams has committed 23 fouls across his 25 starts in the Premier League this season (0.89 per 90). He’s played in a variety of fullback roles for Nottingham Forest this season but when everyone is fit, Nuno seems to prefer Williams at left back and Aina at right back.

This should put him up against Kasey McAteer who was given a rare opportunity against Southampton last time out. McAteer was fouled once in that game and has a very promising foul record overall, winning 14 fouls across his six starts in the top flight (2.07 per 90).

Williams could also have to contend with Jordan Ayew who was fouled three times in the game against Southampton and is averaging 2.98 fouls won per 90 in the Premier League this season. Williams didn’t start in the initial meeting between these sides but both Aina and Moreno committed 2+ fouls each as the starting fullbacks.

Nottingham Forest to Win

This is a must win game for Forest in the context of the race for Champions League qualification. Chelsea, Newcastle, Man City and Aston Villa will have already played by the time that Forest kick off, so they could find themselves under serious pressure here before even taking to the field.

Leicester have nothing to fight for and have been the second worst team on the road in the Premier League this campaign, winning just two of their 17 assignments and conceding 42 goals in the process, more than any other side in the division.

Forest ran out 3-1 winners in the initial meeting between these sides at the King Power Stadium and a similar sort of result should be on the cards here seeing. Forest need the victory and Leicester are already confirmed as being relegated.

Chris Wood to Score Anytime

Wood has had a remarkable campaign which has seen him score 19 Premier League goals, making him far and away Forest’s top scorer with Anthony Elanga behind him on six.

He’s the most clinical striker in the league when using xG to compare forwards. Despite having an xG of just 11.7, Wood has managed 19 goals in the top flight this season which is the most marked positive difference of any striker in the Premier League.

Wood scored a brace against Leicester in the initial meeting between the sides and has still shown signs of life in the second half of the campaign despite a small dip in his goal rate since the turn of the year. Wood recently scored against Tottenham and will be on penalties for Nottingham Forest, too.

Elliot Anderson to be Shown a Card

Anderson has received seven yellow cards in the Premier League this season, only Nicolas Dominguez, Ryan Yates and Morgan Gibbs-White have picked up more cautions than the former Newcastle midfielder, who has really impressed for Forest this season.

Anderson’s most recent yellow card came against Brentford just a few weeks ago, he’s often involved in the midfield scrap which has seen his card count rise steadily as the season has gone on.

He is averaging 1.56 fouls committed per 90 in the Premier League this season, which is an average that suggests he should have a good chance of picking up a caution here. His battle against Jordan Ayew may be one to keep an eye on, Ayew is averaging 2.98 fouls won per 90 in the Premier League this season and was deployed centrally in Leicester’s 2-0 win over Southampton last time out.

Leicester's GK to Make 3+ Saves

Mads Hermansen is one of the few Leicester players you could see staying in the Premier League, he will be injured for this game but his save average across the season is 3.89 saves per game, which suggests that his replacement in Jakub Stolarczyk is going to have a busy afternoon at the City Ground.

Forest had five shots on target in the initial meeting between the sides and drew two saves from the Leicester keeper on that occasion. We’re looking for that tally to rise just slightly here which is plausible considering that Forest are averaging 4.4 shots on target per game in the Premier League this season and need the three points for Champions League qualification.
