Bayern Munich to Win @ 1.22

Bayern Munich have been in unstoppable form this season, and have won all 14 of their matches in all competitions. In the Bundesliga, they have scored a total of 30 goals from eight games, boasting the most efficient attacking lineup in the German top flight. But at the same time, the Bavarians have conceded just four goals, underlining their ability to sustain possession and completely dominate their opponents.

They have even managed to beat some high-calibre opponents - a notable 6-0 victory against RB Leipzig in gameweek one, and a 2-1 win over Dortmund in Der Klassiker are two big wins which spring to mind. Even in the Champions League, Bayern have won all three matches, putting them second in the standings only behind PSG having scored one goal less. Bayern just seem to be operating on a different level at the moment, and they are really going to take some stopping.

Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.25

After a poor start to domestic proceedings for Leverkusen under Erik ten Hag, things have improved in recent weeks since Kasper Hjulmand took over. But they were dealt a real setback last week, as Die Werkself lost 7-2 to PSG in the Champions League.

Although that was an unusual game, as both sides were reduced to ten men in the first-half, the Parisians were able to freely carve out chances - they racked up a total of 24 shots and four big chances. Bayern’s front line are on par with PSG, and that suggests that Leverkusen could once again be in for a tough evening.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in all 14 of Bayern’s games so far, with the Bavarians hitting this mark on their own in 12 of those matches. They even scored three times against Chelsea in the Champions League, highlighting just how effective they have been going forward.

Michael Olise Over 1.5 Shots on Target @ 1.83

Olise has been central to Bayern’s strong form, and he already has seven goals and five assists to his name after just 14 appearances in all competitions.  The Frenchman is averaging 4.2 shots per 90 this season, rising to 4.77 shots per 90 when playing at the Allianz Arena.

In fact, he has registered a shot on target in all six matches on home turf this campaign, landing this bet in tough matchups against RB Leipzig, Chelsea and Dortmund. Olise has been an incredibly hard player to contain, always looking to cut inside onto his stronger left foot from the right wing, but is just so difficult to stop.

The former Crystal Palace man has racked up a total of 30 shots in the Bundesliga this season, and 53% of those have hit the target. Expecting Bayern to press home their advantage at the Allianz Arena this weekend, Olise is a player to target.

Aleix Garcia Over 0.5 Shots @ 1.66

In that damning loss against PSG on home turf, Leverkusen fans were at least given something to cheer about, as their side scored twice. Both of those goals came from Aleix Garcia, and he is well-priced to register a single shot against the league-leaders at the weekend.

The Spaniard scored his first of the game from the penalty spot, and the second was a memorable strike from distance which nestled into the top corner. The 28-year-old has a tendency to let fly from range, and seven of his nine shots in the Bundesliga this season have come from outside the box.

That could be useful in this game, as Bayern are likely to limit any clear-cut chances, so Leverkusen may have to resort to speculative efforts from distance. Garcia has racked up 12 shots in his last six games, and has been much more willing to get forward.

📈 Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen Form & Tactics

After winning just one of their first four league games to start the new campaign, Leverkusen seem to have found their feet in recent weeks, and they come into this match having won four successive league games. That has lifted them into fifth place, just two points off RB Leipzig in second.

Despite losing a multitude of key players over the summer, Die Werkself have remained a strong attacking unit, and their total of 18 league goals is only bettered by Bayern Munich and Frankfurt. However, they have kept just three clean sheets from their 14 matches this season, highlighting an issue at the back that needs to be addressed.

It’s the type of vulnerability that Bayern have been exploiting all season. Harry Kane in particular has been in exceptional form, and already has 12 league goals from just eight matches. Even in the Champions League, the Englishman has bagged five goals from three games, so has been key to the German giants’ success.

Bayern have netted multiple goals in all 14 of their matches so far, and have kept six clean sheets. The main focus for Vincent Kompany will be on maintaining this momentum, as he looks to secure back-to-back Bundesliga titles.

📔 Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen Formation & Team News

After suffering a significant injury during the Club World Cup, Jamal Musiala has returned to training on grass for the first time in months, which is a massive boost for Bayern. However, this game will likely come too soon for him. Vincent Kompany fielded his strongest eleven midweek in the DFB Pokal, and could opt for a similar setup at the weekend.

Hjulmand went for a bit more rotation midweek, as his side edged past Paderborn in extra time. Ezequiel Fernandez missed out with a knee problem, meaning Robert Andrich is likely to partner Aleix Garcia in midfield. The return of Jarrell Quansah, who was on the scoresheet midweek, is a big boost for Leverkusen, and the former Liverpool man should slot into the back three.

Patrick Schick also made his first start since returning from injury, so he is likely to displace Christian Kofane up front against Bayern. With Lucas Vazquez and Axel Tape still ruled out with injury, Arthur is in line once again to provide width on the right.
