After securing a convincing 3-0 win against Fenerbahce in the Champions League on his debut, the next three games have all ended in defeat, and Forest are just two points clear of the drop zone now.

They found themselves 1-0 down after just six minutes against Brighton last time out, before Morgan Gibbs-White equalised with a powerful strike from outside the box. Danny Welbeck put the hosts back in front after 15 minutes, and Forest struggled to carve out any meaningful chances from that point on. On a positive note, Forest were at least able to book a spot in the Europa League round of 16 by beating Fenerbahce over two legs.

Elliot Anderson and Ibrahim Sangare should continue in midfield, hoping to provide defensive cover to the backline.

Erling Haaland was a key absentee from the matchday squad for Man City at the weekend, after picking up a small problem in training - he could be in contention to return here though. Nico O’Reilly is another doubt after suffering an ankle injury at Elland Road, which means Tijjani Reijnders could come back into the starting XI. Pep Guardiola has usually rotated his side for midweek games, but Semenyo, Rodri, Marc Guehi and Rayan Ait-Nouri should keep their spots in the XI.
