Lille and Reims are likely to be play out a tight match on Monday, with visiting boss Will Still having made a name for himself quickly with the Champagne side, who are still undefeated under the impressive 30-year-old Belgian-Englishman.

Still wrote the latest chapter of his impressive start to life as Reims boss with a 3-1 win over Rennes on Thursday. It was his sixth match in charge, with three wins and three draws. Away from home, he has shown that he is not afraid to play in a pragmatic manner. All Reims’ three road trips under him have ended drawn, two 0-0s and a 1-1.

Indeed, Reims have been a team that have rarely seen both teams score in their matches lately. Only four of their last 10 league games have seen both teams net.

Similarly, Lille are trending in that direction too. After both teams netted in their first nine of the season, that has not been the case in five of their last seven. LOSC, though, have scored at least once in every game they’ve played this season with the exception of a 1-0 away loss to Lyon. They have not been prolific in recent matches either, with just four goals in their last four outings.

Backing against both teams to score in this game at evens is a tempting bet, but given the defensive solidarity of both clubs in recent weeks, backing under 2.5 goals at the slightly longer 2.05 offers marginally better returns in a fixture in which it is highly unlikely that either side is a landslide winner.
