Belgium are still winless at the World Cup, but luckily for them, they face New Zealand in their final group stage game.

With Belgium needing a win, this should be a one-sided affair.

Generic

📈 New Zealand Recent Form

New Zealand qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 2010 after a dominant OFC campaign.

They arrived as massive underdogs in Group G, but the All Whites have been genuinely competitive so far, and there is still a slim chance they can qualify for the knockouts.

They earned a 2-2 draw against Iran in round one of the group stage, as they squandered a lead twice.

New Zealand also took an early lead against Egypt, before the Pharaohs turned the game around after a strong second-half performance.

📈 Belgium Recent Form

Belgium also looked convincing in their World Cup qualifying matches, and their warm-up friendly results were even more encouraging, but they have faltered on the big stage, and are still yet to win.

Rudi Garcia’s men have drawn both Group G games so far, having been left frustrated by Egypt in round one. In the end, the Red Devils would have probably taken the 0-0 draw against Iran, as Nathan Ngoy was sent off for a last-man challenge in the 66th minute.

On paper, this fixture against New Zealand looks like Belgium’s easiest matchup, so they will need to make it count to qualify for the knockouts.
