Rangers will be aiming to record their first Europa League win of the season when they face Ludogorets at Ibrox on Thursday night.
After several seasons of punching above their weight in Europe’s secondary club competition, Rangers have endured a nightmare campaign this time around.
Having collected just one point from a possible 18, the Scottish giants are all but out of contention, with an early exit effectively confirmed with two games remaining.
Ludogorets, meanwhile, sit just inside the top 24 with seven points, meaning that they remain firmly in the mix to reach the knockout round.

📈 Rangers v Ludogorets Form & Tactics
Rangers have been all but eliminated from the Europa League heading into the final two rounds of league phase action. The Light Blues have lost five of their six matches to date, most recently going down 2-1 to Ferencvaros, with their solitary point so far coming against Braga at Ibrox on Matchday 5.
However, things are looking brighter for Rangers on the domestic front, as seven wins from their last eight Scottish Premiership matches have propelled them into title contention. Danny Rohl’s side have also sealed their place in the Scottish Cup last 16, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Annan at Ibrox last Friday night.
Rangers have already picked up two red cards in this season's Europa League, while they also had a man sent off in one of their Champions League qualifiers during the early months of the campaign.
Only Nice (92) have drawn more fouls than Rangers (91) in this season's Europa League.
After hitting the ground running with a 2-1 win over Malmo on Matchday 1, Ludogorets lost each of their subsequent three fixtures, leaving them with work to do to secure qualification. However, the Bulgarian heavyweights have since banked four points by claiming an eye-catching 3-2 victory against Celta Vigo before playing out a thrilling 3-3 draw with PAOK.
Therefore, a minimum of one win from their final two matches could well be enough to see the Eagles extend their stay in Europe's secondary club competition.
Like Rangers, Ludogorets also sit in 3rd place in their domestic division, currently seven points adrift of league leaders Levski Sofia. However, the visitors have won four of their last five league matches, the most recent of which was a 4-0 success away at Beroe.
Both teams have scored in five of Ludogorets' six Europa League matches this season.
📔 Rangers v Ludogorets Formation & Team News
Danny Rohl experimented with different formations during the early weeks of his Rangers tenure; however, he appears to have settled on a 4-2-3-1 system.
Bailey Rice, Connor Barron, Derek Cornelius and Dujon Sterling are all sidelined due to injury. Meanwhile, Clinton Nsiala, Kieran Dowell, Nedim Bajrami and Rabbi Matondo were all left out of Rangers’ Europa League squad.
On top of all that, January signings Andreas Skov Olsen, Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens are ineligible to play any part at Ibrox on Thursday night.
Ludogorets manager Per Mathias Hogmo typically favours a 4-2-3-1 formation, though it is worth noting that he deployed a 4-4-2 system against PAOK on Matchday 6.
The visitors head into their penultimate league phase fixture without the injured trio of Aguibou Camara, Edvin Kurtulus, and Georgi Terziev.
