With the short-priced favourite, Double Rush, taking a huge chunk of the betting market percentage, there may be each-way value elsewhere in this sprint handicap. ADDISON GREY is an unexposed type, who ran a cracker of first outing this term at Newbury 15 days ago — and is 2lb ahead of his handicap mark here. With that in mind, he must hold excellent place claims here, given the promise of further progress under optimum conditions.

City Of Delight E/W @ 7.50

CITY OF DELIGHT returns to the UK after a string of satisfactory Meydan runs on good/fast ground. He is race-fit and has excellent form on downhills tracks — including a course-and-distance victory. The David Menusieur-trained runner is certainly in with an each-way shout, if able to retain his current form, versus a few of those at the top of the market, who may benefit from this outing.

Siren Suit E/W @ 7.00

I’m taking a chance on handicap debutant SIREN SUIT, who has been gelded since we last saw him — he ran tamely over 6f in a strong Ascot Conditions Stakes. There may be significant improvement this season, given that operation, coupled with this rise in trip. He is also extremely unexposed and won a kaiden at Kempton, which is working out nicely. If able to lead, it would be folly to dismiss his claims.

Letos E/W @ 11.00

Firstly, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Jump Allen were to win this, despite being a big-field handicap, comfortably — given how badly hampered he was in the Pertempts Final at Cheltenham in March. But, I noted that LETOS also ran an eyecatching race in that event, and is a far bigger price for place potential. The six-year-old is down a pound in the weights for finishing fourth that day. He travelled powerfully throughout and was just reaching the end of his stamina reserves, when hitting the final climb to the line. The drop in distance should help and he remains a horse with potential in handicap company.
