It is worth forgetting a last of nine finish in France on reappearance; he completely blew the start. This Group One winner possesses a smart turn of foot and scored on sole all-weather outing.

PABORUS could take this class rise in his stride, following an impressive Conditions Stakes win at Thirsk on reappearance. That took his career stats to four wins from six starts, and he is an unexposed four-year-old. Having been subsequently purchased by Wathnan Racing, it would be folly to dismiss how far he may climb the ranks.

STANAGE offers sound each-way appeal at a double-figure price. His last couple of starts can be excused - Epsom may have not suited and he prefers a sound surface - which gives the chance of returning to his best today. If he reproduces the form of when a good third at Newmarket, in April, he may go close.

WISPER has the chance to gain a seventh career win - now upped to a trip beyond 1m2f. She powered home for a close second at Chelmsford last time, and that effort can be upgraded after a slow start. Her run style suggests the extra journey can help and she is a course winner.

UNDER THE TWILIGHT is certainly one of the place contenders. She is a well-handicapped horse - now 9lb below her last winning mark. A course winner, she didn’t run badly at Newbury last time and has the chance to improve, having slipped down the weights.
