Doncaster Rovers v Charlton Athletic
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
Charlton Athletic have recovered from their seven-game winless run in League One with back-to-back wins accompanied by a clean sheet. Both victories came at The Valley, 1-0 v Gillingham and 2-0 v Burton Albion, where the Addicks have been far better under Johnnie Jackson.
Doncaster Rovers are four points from safety with seven games remaining and need to pick up wins as soon as possible to give themselves a chance heading into the final stretch. Fleetwood Town, AFC Wimbledon and Morecambe’s terrible form may well help them out. Donny are averaging just 0.75 xGF per game over their last nine and are the lowest scoring side in the division.
Charlton have seen under 2.5 goals in five of six, with the exception in that sequence containing three. The Addicks have been stronger since the return of Jayden Stockley and Conor Washington, though the former has not scored from open play in any of his last six league starts for Charlton. Corey Blackett-Taylor has also been a welcome returnee from injury but his fitness record in his career suggests it will be a tough ask for him to be at full throttle for 90 minutes.
It is three clean sheets in four for the Addicks and Donny will be without Kieran Agard, Jon Taylor, Cameron John, Mipo Odubeko and Ethan Galbraith, the latter two on international duty.

Ipswich Town v Plymouth Argyle
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
Two teams who have been incredibly solid defensively of late face off at Portman Road, with Ipswich Town in desperate need of three points if they are to bridge the six point gap between themselves and the play-off places.
Plymouth Argyle are sitting pretty in fourth place after six wins on the bounce without conceding as Steven Schumacher’s revolution on the South West Coast continues to bear fruit. The schedule has been relentless for the Pilgrims and it could catch up with them in Suffolk after what has been a very demanding last month or so.
George Edmundson and Kayden Jackson are sidelined for the hosts, who have conceded just two goals in their last ten games, keeping eight clean sheets, a very menacing backline for the Pilgrims to try and break down. There is a risk that these two cancel each other out, both playing three at the back, and a less than entertaining game could play out.
Argyle have not conceded from 5.97 xGA in their last six, a little unsustainable even though the Tractor Boys are stronger defensively than they are going forward.

Sheffield Wednesday v Cheltenham Town
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
Sheffield Wednesday have had three more days to recover for this fixture. Cheltenham Town faced the gruelling midweek trip to Plymouth Argyle to lose 2-0 and have very little to play for in the remainder of the campaign.
The Robins have won just three league games on their travels all season and they arrive at Hillsborough Stadium with the unenviable task of taking on the Owls gunning for a play-off finish. Kion Etete and Dan N’Lundulu’s absences at the top of the pitch means Cheltenham are not as dangerous going forward.
Saido Berahino is on international duty with Burundi while Josh Windass remains sidelined through injury, but the stance continues. We have got the Owls onside on their home patch twice already this month, one win and one void has me very content going again with Darren Moore’s side still one of the strongest in League One since the turn of the year.
A home game against a team with very little to play for is exactly what Wednesday want at this stage of the season and they have the quality all over the pitch to take advantage.
