AaB v FC Nordsjælland
🏟
Sunday 14th August – 3:00PM KO
The red and whites from AaB take on FC Nordsjælland in an interesting match on Sunday afternoon. The home side are yet to win this season, while FC Nordsjælland are yet to do anything but win. Nevertheless, it should be closer than it sounds, and we could be in for a game rich in goals.
The hosts are second to last in the Danish Superliga with just one point to their name. Still, they actually haven’t been that bad. With a bit of luck, they could have had multiple victories, but they have lacked skill and composure in the important moments of the games. They have just scored three goals in their first four Superliga matches and at the same time conceded a staggering eight goals.
While AaB have been unlucky, everything has gone Nordsjælland’s way. The young team from Farum has been in stellar form, and it has been fantastic to watch. The Tigers have by far the most exciting team in Denmark, and there could be multiple future stars in the squad. They have won four games in a row, and the way they are playing at the moment, they look very difficult to beat.
AaB are without left back Andreas Poulsen and then Anders Hagelskjær, while FC Nordsjælland are without midfielder Mads Bidstrup and defender Oliver Villadsen. All four players would normally start for their teams.
The value is on Nordsjælland here, but due to Aalborg being a difficult place to play as opponent, we once again select the cautious approach with draw no bet victory on the away side.

Brøndby IF v OB
🏟
Sunday 14th August – 5:00PM KO
This is going to be the highlight of the Danish Superliga round. Daniel Wass, formerly with Valencia and Atletico Madrid (among other clubs) returns home to Brøndby after being signed Friday morning. The 33-year-old Danish international instantly becomes one of the biggest names in the Superliga, and he has ignited the yellow-blue Brøndby fans, and should give a significant boost to the struggling side.
Brøndby played 120 minutes of Conference League football Thursday evening when they lost to FC Basel on penalties. The defeat was heartbreaking and strengthened the criticism of sports director Carsten V. Jensen and head coach Niels Frederiksen. However, there have been some positive moments this season as Brøndby have performed better than expected in European football.
On the opposite end of the scale, we find OB. The white and blues from Odense have been the worst team in the league this season by far. Andreas Alm’s troops have been plain awful and sit last with just one point after their first four games. OB have conceded 11 goals already, and have massive problems in both ends of the field.
To make things even worse for the guests, they will have to take the trip to the outskirts of Copenhagen without several of their key players. Mads Frøkjær-Jensen, Ayo Okosun and Mihajlo Ivancevichar are all injured, while Kasper Larsen, Emmanuel Sabbi and Issam Jebali are doubtful.
For the home side, Andreas Maxsø, Kevin Mensah, Carl Björk and Blas Riveros are out, while Daniel Wass is expected to start.
OB have simply been awful, and while Brøndby have struggled, the Wass signing should be enough to give them the victory.
