Wycombe Wanderers v MK Dons
Wycombe Wanderers climbed into the League One playoff places at Plymouth Argyle’s expense on the final game of the season, giving Gareth Ainsworth’s men a fighting chance of earning an immediate promotion back to the Championship.
The Chairboys will be relishing the underdog tag going into the play-offs and have put together a 12-game unbeaten run to force their way back into promotion contention. However, MK Dons only missed out on automatic promotion by one point and have been one of the best teams in the division since the turn of the year.
Scott Twine is looking as dangerous as ever and the League One Player of the Season can hurt an opponent from many different angles. Expect MK to have a lot of possession and for Ainsworth to set his side up very well to contain the Dons and spring out on the counter-attack.
It will be a cracking atmosphere at Adams Park and you cannot write off a Gareth Ainsworth side in this situation, but I cannot justify the Dons being outsiders, therefore that is where the value lies when selecting a bet. Happy to take a short price in what could be a helter-skelter few weeks of EFL action.

Sunderland v Sheffield Wednesday
Clash of the Titans in the League One play-offs gets underway on Friday evening at the Stadium of Light. Both sides could be rocked by injuries to key players with Barry Bannan and Nathan Broadhead being forced off due to injury in the final game of the season.
The Owls are in better shape, squad-wise, to replace Bannan than Sunderland are Broadhead, especially with the way that Ross Stewart’s goals have dropped off in the second half of the season.
Harlee Dean and Josh Windass will be available for selection, while Dennis Adeniran and Dominic Iorfa remain out. Aiden McGeady was an unused substitute for the Black Cats last time out, while Niall Huggins and Jordan Willis are sidelined.
Alex Neil, like Ainsworth, is a huge trump card here with his experience of the play-offs, but Wednesday have been the stronger side over the last few months. Broadhead would be a huge loss and could see the Owls settle nicely into the tie, which is exactly what the Black Cats cannot allow them to do, due to the midfield technicians and explosive forwards Darren Moore has at his disposal. Happy to take the outsiders again at a short price.
