Tottenham Hotspur are often active in the transfer window, and so far they have not disappointed. The stand-out signings in this window include James Maddison – who should fill the number 10 role that Eriksen and Dele have done in recent years.
Some other notable signings are Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski, both of whom have now inked permanent deals with the club. Further adding to their ranks is the exciting addition of Manor Solomon, who joins as a free transfer. Solomon’s arrival brings a wealth of potential, showcased by his exceptional abilities with both feet, creating the opportunity for further dynamism going forward.
Now the question remains: Will Spurs continue to bulk out their squad? In this article, we will be doing a deep-dive into some of the Tottenham Hotspur transfer odds, covering the big discussions such as Harry Kane’s future.

Kane to take on Bavaria or stay put?
Kane’s future at Spurs has been unclear in recent months. Speculation initially surrounded a domestic move to Manchester United, but this has been all but squashed by Daniel Levy – making his options to stay at Spurs or move abroad.
Thomas Tuchel is pushing hard to sign Kane for Bayern Munich, with most recent sources explaining Bayern and Spurs met, but are yet to settle on a bid. Football fans are in two minds regarding this. A move to Bayern would see Kane play in one of Europe’s biggest sides, granting him Champion’s League football as well as a realistic shot at some silverware for his club. This is something Spurs have not been able to offer him so far.
Last season Bayern suffered without their previous talisman Robert Lewandowski. In the 2021/22 season, he bagged 35 goals, whilst last season the highest goalscorer, Serge Gnabry, only managed 14. The introduction of Kane would serve as Lewandowski’s replacement – and help the German giants return to a high goalscoring form.
However, Kane currently sits in second in the all-time Premier League top goalscorer list, only 47 goals behind Alan Shearer. Another two seasons should see Kane break this record, and cement himself as one of the League’s best-ever talents.
Tottenham’s new signings would only offer Kane more service. Maddison filling the number 10 role should allow Kane to push forward more and play as an out-and-out striker. This only adds to the reason for him to stay.
Kane is currently 4/6 to remain at Spurs and 11/8 to make the move to Germany. This is really a coin flip, but with the all-time Premier League goalscorer record in contention, it would be a shock to see Kane leave. Even Ange Postecoglou has stated: “Kane is one of the premier strikers in the world and I want him involved here”.
Sancho seeking a new beginning?
Jadon Sancho has been, surprisingly, disappointing for the Red Devils following the £73 million signing in 2021. At Dortmund, the English winger averaged 0.91 goal contributions each game over the course of 4 seasons. However, due to injuries and poor performance in England, Sancho has rarely been given an opportunity to shine, only averaging 0.35 goal contributions each game.
His spot at United seems in contention, with young talent and new signings wanting game time in United’s front line. The two who spring to mind are Mason Mount and Alejandro Garnacho, who will offer similar styles of play down the left flank.
There is not much warmth for Sancho on social media either. Many fans think offloading Sancho for additional transfer funds would be desirable. Others are predicting that another season at United would be only further disappointment.
Spurs have recently enquired about Sancho, and there is speculation surrounding a potential swap deal: Sancho and Maguire for Kane. This places Spurs as the most likely destination for Sancho by the bookies, priced at 4/1.
However, due to Sancho’s high wages, it will prove difficult for United to offload him. So, the question remains: Should Sancho seek a fresh start?
Conor Gallagher to further pad out Spurs’ midfield?
Conor Gallagher enjoyed plenty of game time last season, 45 in total, with only Kai Havertz playing more games across all competitions. His high level of reliability, combined with his nationality adding the “English Tax”, make him an ideal candidate to raise some transfer funds for the Blues.
The England international is linked with many interested clubs. These include Newcastle, Villa and Crystal Palace. However, Spurs have now entered the race – with new manager Postecoglou keen to upgrade his midfield. This is growing ever-important as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks increasingly likely to leave the club having been linked to La Liga giants; Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has claimed to like Gallagher, with sources believing Chelsea have valued him at £50 million. This has many fans divided on social media, with one source stating:
“If Chelsea pull off £50m for Gallagher, they may be the greatest sellers in football history. Almost feel bad for Spurs.”
Gallagher was initially linked to Brighton, with sources predicting he could be involved in a deal with Moises Caicedo. However, since then the English midfielder has been confirmed to not be linked in the Caicedo deal. This makes us at ABC believe Spurs is Gallagher’s most likely destination this Summer.
Vlahovic to trade Turin for Tottenham?
Dusan Vlahovic represents a long-shot signing for Spurs, and is highly conditional. Should Bayern swoop up Harry Kane, Tottenham will be looking for a replacement striker. The Serbian international would serve as a direct replacement for Kane – as he has proved himself to be prolific in front of goal.
Over the last three years in Turin, he has impressed many – bagging 21 goals in the 2020/21 season before 24 in the 2021/22 season. Further, despite his last season being plagued with injuries, Vlahovic still managed 12 goal involvements from 22 starts. The 23-year-old boasts huge potential, being ranked as the 8th most expensive striker by market value.
Vlahovic would fill Kane’s boots should he depart Spurs, and they have supposedly been tracking the forward for several years. However, Spurs aren’t the only club that could be interested. Vlahovic is most likely to sign for PSG, but is also being eyed up by: Bayern, Chelsea, and Real Madrid.
In spite of the high odds at 20/1, we see this move as a genuine possibility should Kane depart Spurs.
