This contest looks the perfect opportunity for OWEN LITTLE to rediscover his winning form after a pair of moderate runs on turf this season. The four-year-old has excuses on both runs, including when downfield at Leicester last time. He has little chance of scoring over an inadequate 1m4f trip that day and was given a sympathetic ride in the closing stages. He’s expected to improve considerably on this return to an artificial surface – having won on previous track and trip outing – with the long straight certainly playing to his strengths. Raised just a pound since that success, he can prove to be a well handicapped individual with 3lb taken off by the excellent Rhys Clutterbuck.
