Having managed to avoid the upset of the season by the finest of margins, West Ham will now return to Premier League football to play host to a Watford side struggling for any form.
Kidderminster hearts were broken on Saturday by Declan Rice’s stoppage time equaliser before Jarrod Bowen netted the winner at the back post in extra time to send the hammers through. West Ham rested plenty of starters for the game and can expect to welcome back Rice, Soucek, Coufal and Dawson for this game along with the return of lead striker Michail Antonio from international duty with Jamaica.
Watford kept their first PL clean sheet since before the covid pandemic on Saturday but were uninspiring under new man Roy Hodgson. The return of Emmanuel Dennis from suspension should provide Watford with an extra threat in their new 442 formation.
In the reverse fixture this season, the Hammers ran away with a 4-1 victory but plenty of chances fell to both sides. The prolific nature of the Watford attack should see a return to form here against a West Ham backline who concede well over a goal a game. The pace of Dennis, King, Pedro and possibly Cucho Hernandez off the bench should exploit the lack of pace in the West Ham back line especially former Hornet Craig Dawson.
West Ham have been immense going forward all season with their total of 41 goals trailing just the front 3. Despite Hodgson trying to concentrate on improving a weak defence, the electricity of both attacks should lead to opportunity for both teams to score here.

Newcastle v Everton

After a productive transfer window, the Newcastle fans will be looking particularly for Bruno Guimares to be the catalyst for an escape from relegation starting at home to Everton. In a clash where Newcastle could move within a point of their visitors with victory, expect signings like Targett and Guimares to be thrown in at the deep end here.
New manager Frank Lampard had a dream start to his new job with a 4-1 victory over Brentford in the cup. Having underperformed all season under Benitez, Everton will hope for a change of fortunes with their new signing Van de Beek and Dele Alli looking to inject intensity into their midfield. Not many managers can lean on better experience to help them.
In this game, I will be turning to the card market though. In a game which could go either way, I feel it is too risky to bet either way. Particularly when these two teams are so prone to cards. Per game this season, Newcastle and Everton both rank in the top 4 for yellow cards for with well over 2. They both average just shy of 2 cards per game against. Also, referee Anthony Taylor has awarded 62 yellows this season at 4.13 per game.
These teams have shared 13 yellow cards in their past 2 meetings and with so much on the line, the over 3.5 cards should land with ease and is my tip here.

Burnley v Manchester United

Following disappointing results at the weekend, Burnley and United will be looking to improve on those performances tonight. It felt all too familiar as United underperformed again, crashing out of the cup, leaving them without a realistic shot at silverware for another year.
Meanwhile, Burnley picked up a point against relegation rivals Watford but having welcomed Cornet back alongside Wout Weghorst they would have wanted the win against an out of form Hornets side.
Despite United’s inconsistency, I can see them taking advantage of a Burnley side lacking match sharpness. However, I don’t feel confident enough in betting on United to win, knowing they threw away a two goal lead recently at Villa Park. In this game they could easily be bullied by the matchups Burnley have going forward. Weghorst really could take advantage of a back line who struggle to command the box.
However, I see United having success going forward in this game with Ronaldo out to rectify his missed pen against Boro on Saturday. The last two games between these sides have finished 3-1 to United and I can definitely see them scoring 2 or more against this Burnley side.
