  • BTTS has landed in seven of Coventry’s last eight league matches. They’ve struggled since their early form this season, and look shaky in defence.

  • Coventry have failed to win in any of their last seven away league matches. Their last win on the road came at Middlesbrough back in November.

  • West Brom aren’t fairing much better. The Baggies have won just one of their last 11 league matches, with their last victory coming in December. They have also failed to win back-to-back games since their first two matches of this campaign.

📈 West Brom v Coventry Form & Stats

Both sides come into this in very questionable form. The Baggies most notably, as they’re so long without a win. They’ve won just nine games so far this season; only Oxford and Sheffield Wednesday have won fewer.

Six of those wins have come at The Hawthorns, so you could say it’s somewhat of a haven. However, that still only ranks them 16th among home sides in the Championship.

Coventry have seen more match goals on average than any other side in the Championship. Frank Lampard’s side score/concede 3.19 per game.

As for betting angles, over 2.5 backers would be happy to note that 62% of their games have seen three or more goals - the third-highest in the Championship.

Their 62% strike rate for BTTS and 81% of over 1.5 goals also rank them pretty high in the table for each of those metrics, respectively.

Historically, this hasn’t been an amazing game for goals; the earlier meeting in the season saw five goals scored as the Sky Blues ran out 3-2 winners.

📔 West Brom v Coventry Formation & Team News

Cov will likely keep the same side from the victory over Middlesbrough. That creative front three of Sakamoto, Rudoni, and Mason-Clarke will be key to supplying the red-hot Haji Wright, and with Onyeka’s arrival, they have a formidable pairing between him and Matt Grimes.

It’ll be a 4-2-3-1 for the Sky Blues. Rudoni will take up the 10 position with confidence, given the anchoring two behind him.

Brandon Thomas-Asante will return from his suspension here, which is a huge boost, but I don’t see him returning to the starting line-up right away. Although it is an incredible option to have off the bench, he’ll be hungry to do some damage against his old club.
