West Ham v Nottingham Forest
Kick Off: Sunday 18th May at 14:15
Competition: Premier League
Nottingham Forest travel to the London Stadium with hopes of keeping their Champions League dream alive. Their 2-2 draw with Leicester last time out has dented their chances and was a game shrouded in controversy after the Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis, stormed onto the pitch after the full time whistle.
Graham Potter will have been relieved to have seen his side win a game after a run of eight games without one in the Premier League. The Hammers condemned Manchester United to their 17th league defeat of the season, leapfrogging them in the process to sit 15th in the table.
⭐ West Ham v Nottingham Forest Best Bet
West Ham have seen BTTS in four of their last five games in the Premier League. They‘ve only kept one clean sheet in this time, which was against Manchester United last time out.
Nottingham Forest have seen BTTS in three of their last five games, including in each of their last two away games which also happened to be in London against Crystal Palace and Tottenham. BTTS didn’t land in the initial meeting between these sides but the gamestate was heavily impacted by a first half red card for West Ham as Edson Alvarez was dismissed.
West Ham will take confidence from the fact that Nottingham Forest have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five Premier League matches. Forest’s backline is just faltering a little at this crucial stage of the season which has seen Forest have to rely on more than just their solid defensive structure to get them through games.
👕 West Ham v Nottingham Forest Predicted XI

🔍 West Ham v Nottingham Forest Players to Watch
⚪ Morgan Gibbs-White
Gibbs-White had a hand in both goals against Leicester last time out, scoring the first before setting up the second, but it wasn’t enough to secure Forest all three points which has left their Champions League hopes in the balance. Only Chris Wood (23) and Anthony Elanga (16) have registered more goal contributions for Nottingham Forest than Morgan Gibbs-White this season (14).
🟣 Tomas Soucek
Graham Potter has been using Tomas Soucek as a physical presence in the attacking third in the absence of a consistent striker that can lead the line for West Ham. Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus have been playing regularly as a front two, but this can be a little lightweight in the Premier League which has seen Soucek step into more advanced roles. He scored against Manchester United last time out and also scored against Brighton recently - taking his tally to nine goals for the season while averaging 0.59 shots on target per 90.
