Iliman Ndiaye to have 1+ Shots on Target

Ndiaye scored the first-ever goal at the Hill Dickinson stadium as Everton ran out 2-0 winners over Brighton in the first game at their new stadium. Ndiaye was one of the brightest players on the pitch, having two shots on target and winning two fouls.

Everton look like they could be a really dangerous side going forward this season, a trio of Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, and Grealish in behind Barry, who led the line well against Brighton, is a frontline that can cause most sides in the Premier League serious issues. Everton are also adding Tyler Dibling into the mix, meaning for the first time in a few seasons, the Toffees have real attacking depth.

Ndiaye scored nine goals across his 29 appearances in the Premier League last season, ending the campaign as Everton’s joint top scorer. He averaged 0.66 shots on target per 90 across three games, which is a record we can expect to increase now that he has greater attacking scaffolding around him.

Matt Doherty to Commit 1+ Fouls

Doherty has received a yellow card in both of his Premier League games so far against Manchester City and Bournemouth. He committed three fouls against Pep Guardiola’s side before replicating this tally in Wolves’ 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Doherty plays on the right-hand side of a back three for Wolves, which means he usually contests quite a few duels against the opposing left winger, who, unfortunately for Doherty, will be Jack Grealish.

Grealish was hauled down once against Brighton, but contested 14 duels, which shows just how often the 29-year-old finds himself in 1v1 battles. Grealish averaged 3.15 fouls won per 90 in the Premier League last season and also maintained an average of 3.68 fouls won per 90 in the 23/24 campaign.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Commit 1+ Fouls

Dewsbury-Hall was all action in Everton’s 2-0 win over Brighton in their first ever Premier League match at the Hill Dickinson stadium. The former Chelsea man created more chances than any other player (4), gave away a penalty, and had five foul involvements overall (3 fouls won, 2 fouls committed).

Dewsbury-Hall didn’t feature regularly for Chelsea in the Premier League last season, but he did maintain an average of 0.70 fouls committed per 90 across his 13 appearances in the Conference League last season.

He’ll be lining up against a combative Wolves duo in the middle of the park made up of Joao Gomes and Andre. The pair have won eight fouls between them across their opening two Premier League games of the season.

🟠 Wolves Finally Off The Mark

Wolves finally got their first win of the season in the Carabao Cup as they battled from behind late on to secure a 3-2 victory. This will have been a massive relief for Vitor Pereira, who is set to see his side find the back of the net in the Premier League.

Wolves have made a few additions to their squad, but a worrying rumour towards the end of the window surrounds their star striker, Jorgen Strand Larsen. He is heavily linked to Newcastle, and Wolves would really struggle for goals if he were to depart, having already lost Cunha and Ait-Nouri this summer, who accounted for 55% of their goals in the top flight last season.

Wolves had a pretty black and white record at home in the Premier League last season; they only drew three of their 19 games at Molineux, which would suggest that we should get a winner on Saturday afternoon in this clash.

🔵 Everton Fortunate Last Time Out

Everton will be satisfied with their reaction to their opening day defeat against newly promoted Leeds, as they ran out 2-0 winners over Brighton in their first game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

In truth, there was a large degree of fortune around the result. Brighton registered an xG of 2.43 and missed a penalty, which would indicate that the Seagulls would have come away with at least a draw on another day.

Everton have constructed an exciting attacking line with the likes of Grealish, Ndiaye, Dibling, and Dewsbury-Hall all joining the Toffees this summer. This was inevitably make them a more dangerous side than they were last season, and I would expect to improve on the 16 goals they scored across their 19 away games last season.
