An interesting fixture in Peru this Saturday has caught my eye due to the fact Deportivo Garcilaso and Cusco both share the same ground.

With the bookmakers seemingly unaware, it seems only right to take advantage of the situation and over 2.5 goals looks to be the way in which to do just that.

Cusco have been horrendous away from home. Having scored just two goals, they’ve collected one point from a possible 15. However, at home, it has been a different story.

They’ve won 12 points from six matches to date, which sees them comfortable as one of the teams with better home form. Taking a closer look, home fans rarely see their team fail to score.

So far this season, Cusco have drawn a blank just once with a 0-0 draw against Cienciano. However, having had a man sent off inside 20 minutes, Cusco did well to keep their opponents at bay and add another important point to their tally.

These two sides saw Cusco come out on top 2-1 the last time they met back in April, with Garcilaso also missing a penalty in the second half.

We’ve established that Cusco can score at home, well what about Garcilaso? Rest assured, there’s no need to worry. Their Argentine forward, Santiago Giordana is the league’s top goalscorer with nine to his name, having scored braces at home against both Dep. Municipal and Sport Boys this season.

He didn’t feature last time out against Cajamarca but is expected to return to the line-up on Saturday evening which bodes well for the over 2.5 goals bet I’m recommending.

Priced generously at 1.80, I’d imagine this would be shorter if the bookmakers knew this was at a stadium where the two sides play all their home matches. Take advantage while you can.
