Man United beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 last time out, to extend their unbeaten run to five matches. They have been in impressive form recently, and BTTS has landed in eight of their last ten league matches. They have been an entertaining side to watch in recent weeks, and chances have typically been available at both ends of the field. 

The reverse fixture between these sides at Old Trafford was a memorable six-goal thriller, which finished 4-2 to the hosts. BTTS also landed when these sides met in the FA Cup in January, but this time it was Brighton who prevailed. 

Brighton have a lot riding on this result, knowing that they can potentially finish sixth, but there is also the potential of dropping out of the European spots completely. Fabian Hurzeler will be desperate for his side to secure a positive result, so they should be front-footed at the Amex Stadium.

With Brighton needing a win to protect their European spot, tensions will be heightened here right from the first whistle, and that makes cards a market to target. Games like this on the final weekend, when teams still have it all to play for, can tend to be quite feisty. 

Man United haven’t got as much on the line here, but they will want to finish the campaign on a high and extend their unbeaten record. Cards have continued to flow for Michael Carrick’s men, even since they locked in their Champions League spot, and they have been shown multiple bookings in each of their last eleven consecutive league matches. This selection has landed in nine of those games. 

Brighton rank fourth in the Premier League for total yellow cards accumulated this season, and they will have to keep their aggressive approach this weekend.

Danny Welbeck has enjoyed his most prolific Premier League season in his career, scoring 13 goals from 36 league appearances this campaign, and he will be looking to add to that tally in his final game of the season in front of a home crowd at the Amex.

The 35-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down as the campaign gets closer to its conclusion, and he has landed this selection in each of his last four league states, which even includes a brace against Liverpool in that run. 

Welbeck managed to get on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in the league, and he again scored in the FA Cup meeting. In both respective matches, Welbeck recorded three shots, with two on target. Once again, he will hope to cause problems in the final third against his former club on Sunday afternoon.

Jack Hinshelwood was absent for the league meeting against Man United earlier in the season, but he accumulated two fouls in the FA Cup encounter between these sides.

It is worth noting that he was deployed in a deeper midfield role by Hurzeler in that match and has since been operating in an attacking midfield position. However, his foul counts have remained high since that position change, and Hinshelwood is averaging 1.83 fouls per 90 across all competitions.

He has landed this selection in four of his last five matches at the Amex, including three fouls against Nottingham Forest and Chelsea in that period. 

The only blank he recorded was against fouls, but Man United should be able to exert a lot more control on possession, which will give Hinshelwood a lot more chasing to do. He should find duels against Bruno Fernandes in midfield, who is adept at drawing contact.

Fernandes equalled the all-time Premier League assists record when he set up Bryan Mbeumo to score in the 76th minute against Nottingham Forest last time out. The Portuguese international has one last opportunity this campaign to break the record, knowing that one more assist will put him above Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. 

Fernandes provided an assist in the FA Cup meeting between these sides when they last met, as he set up Benjamin Sesko. He blanked in the 4-2 league win at Old Trafford, but was still heavily involved in the final third, creating one big chance that was wasted by a teammate.

Fernandes has landed this bet in seven of his last ten Premier League starts under Michael Carrick, which shows how he is operating at the top of his game at the moment.

Casemiro is fit for this final game of the season, but he has stated that he won’t play at the Amex, as he wants to close out his Man United career at Old Trafford. The Brazilian recently missed out against Sunderland due to injury, and in his place, Mason Mount started in a defensive midfield role - that should be the case again here. 

Mount committed two infringements in that match, and he was carded against Sunderland. The former Chelsea man is averaging 1.48 fouls per 90 across all competitions this season, despite his limited minutes, and that figure jumps to 1.88 when playing away. 

He has landed this selection in each of his last three starts on the road, which shows how combative he is, and this role in the midfield pivot is not his natural position.

Carlos Baleba is averaging 1.74 fouls per 90 across all competitions this season, which has translated to seven yellow cards from 34 appearances.

Operating in a defensive midfield role, Baleba usually takes on a massive responsibility when it comes to defending his backline, and he is often forced into committing cynical fouls when Brighton commit bodies forward into their attacks. Man United are a tough matchup for him here, and Baleba will have plenty of duels to get stuck into. 

He was carded in his last start against Man United in the league back in October, and this selection also landed when he last started against the Red Devils before that - he finished the game with two infringements. 

Baleba should find duels against the likes of Matheus Cunha and Amad Diallo on Sunday afternoon - they have combined for an average of 3.49 fouls drawn per 90 this season.

Bruno Fernandes equalled the all-time Premier League record for most assists in a single season when he set up Bryan Mbeumo's goal against Nottingham Forest last time out, registering his 20th assist of the campaign. The Portuguese has landed this selection in seven of his last 10 appearances in the Premier League, and he has one more chance to break the record outright this weekend. Even though it isn’t an easy matchup against Brighton at the Amex, he did land this selection when he last faced the Seagulls, which was an FA Cup clash in January.

Fernandes has also chipped in with eight goals from his 34 Premier League appearances this campaign, which highlights just how important he has been. The Man United captain has been the creative force for his side again this season, and so much of the play comes through him.

Shaw will be marshalling the likes of Ferdi Kadioglu and Joel Veltman down Brighton’s right side, with that duo having drawn 2.92 fouls per 90 between them during the campaign. The last five left backs to face the Seagulls have combined for 10 infringements, and so with Shaw far from shy when it comes to getting stuck in, he’ll surely add another foul to his record.

Brighton come into final day with a chance of Champions League qualification, and if they’re to achieve it, Jack Hinshelwood could be key. The attacking midfielder has had an excellent recent spell in front of goal with three goals in his last four league starts, working the goalkeeper on seven times in the process. He’s had at least one shot on target in eight of his last 11 games and seems to have found his feet playing behind Danny Welbeck in attack. 

Visitors Man Utd have nothing to play for and arrive on the South Coast having conceded four shots on target per game on the road. In the previous league meeting, Brighton were afforded five attempts on target and with Fabian Hurzeler’s men highly motivated and Hinshelwood in sparkling form, this looks a generous price for him to hit the target.
