Celtic return to domestic action on Saturday afternoon when Falkirk visit Parkhead, with the Hoops looking to put their midweek Champions League heartbreak behind them.

Celtic hit the self-destruct button against LASK Linz on Tuesday night, throwing away a 4-0 lead before eventually crashing out 5-4 on aggregate. 

They should have little trouble responding against Falkirk, though, and backing the hosts to win alongside over 2.5 goals looks the way to go.

Martin O'Neill's side recently put five past Kilmarnock and four against Dundee United, while also scoring three against LASK in their last home game. 

Their attacking firepower should be far too much for a Falkirk side that has collected just one point from their opening two Scottish Premiership games and also failed to make it out of their League Cup group. 

John McGlynn's men are unlikely to abandon their attacking approach, so this should be an open game, with over 2.5 goals landing in three of Celtic's four home wins over Falkirk last season.

I think Hearts look a little overpriced to defeat St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

After falling to a 2-1 defeat away at Aberdeen in their opening league game, Wouter Vrancken's side bounced back in style with a mightily impressive 4-0 demolition of Dundee United. 

They kept the feel-good factor flowing domestically by progressing to the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals with a 6-2 rout of Inverness a fortnight ago.

While Hearts face a quick turnaround following their European heroics against Rapid Vienna on Wednesday night, they should be in high spirits and I think they have a big enough squad to cope with the demands of their schedule.

St Johnstone won their first game back in the Scottish Premiership, but they conceded three goals against Kilmarnock in that victory before slumping to a 1-0 defeat at St Mirren. 

This will be a far tougher test, and I think Hearts' superior class will tell.

I'm expecting Ayr United to return to winning ways in the Scottish Championship when they play host to Morton on Saturday. 

The Honest Men have made a decent start to the Scottish Championship season, beating Arbroath 2-0 before earning a 1-1 draw away at Dunfermline. 

Their only defeat came at Raith Rovers last weekend, although that result needs to be taken with a pinch of salt after Leon King was shown a red card just five minutes into the match.

Ayr have also shown they can compete against stronger opposition, having pushed Kilmarnock all the way in a 3-2 Scottish League Cup defeat a couple of weeks ago.

Morton, meanwhile, are yet to get going. 

They lost all four of their League Cup group games before suffering defeats in each of their opening three league matches, including a 2-1 home loss to Arbroath last weekend.

All is not well behind the scenes at Morton, and the signs point towards another defeat at Somerset Park.

I think Partick Thistle look well placed to pick up all three points against Queen's Park on Saturday. 

Having beaten Morton and Livingston, the Jags looked to be on course to make it three wins from three last Friday night before conceding a last-gasp equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Inverness.

However, back at Firhill this weekend, which has been a fortress for quite some time now, Thistle will fancy their chances of bouncing back at the first attempt, particularly against Queen's Park. 

The Spiders have made a very worrying start to their league season, having lost all three of their opening matches, including home defeats to both Raith Rovers and Stenhousemuir.

They also lost 2-0 away at Livingston on the opening weekend of the campaign, and I think they could be on the wrong end of a similar scoreline in Glasgow's west end this weekend.

Ross County's clash with East Kilbride in Scottish League One on Saturday has all the makings of an entertaining encounter. 

Three of East Kilbride's opening four league matches of the season have featured over 2.5 goals, which is hardly surprising given the attacking style that has become synonymous with Mick Kennedy's side. 

The visitors are capable of causing Ross County problems going forward, but their commitment to attacking football can leave them exposed at the other end, something that was evident in last week's 3-0 defeat to Montrose. 

They now face a Ross County side that have won all three of their league matches so far this season.

The Staggies' last two league victories have both produced over 2.5 goals, while they also impressed with a 2-1 victory away at Dunfermline in the Scottish League Cup earlier this month. 

I fancy County to come out on top here, and I wouldn't be surprised to see both teams get on the scoresheet, but over 2.5 goals looks the strongest angle in Dingwall.
