Crystal Palace are clearly still adapting to the style and demands of Pierre Sage, but should have an opportunity to gain some momentum and confidence here as they kick off their Europa League campaign.

This is Bournemouth’s first ever experience of a European competition, so it may take the club some time to adapt to the standard and demands of European football - though we have seen the Premier League sides dominate this competition in recent seasons.

Marseille have endured quite a poor start to the campaign, most recently losing 1-0 to Rennes on the road as they attempt to shift away from the direction set for the club by Roberto De Zerbi, who is now at Tottenham.

Marseille have only kept one clean sheet so far this season, with that shutout coming against Strasbourg - they have lost the three games since that victory, conceding 2+ goals in two of these matches. 

Besiktas enter this clash in better form having won each of their last three matches, seeing BTTS in two of these games. They’ve only kept one clean sheet across their last five games, which is a record that should encourage Marseille. 

Besiktas only lost four games at home domestically last season, but did concede 20 goals across their 17 matches and this opening game of their Europa League campaign looks good for goals at both ends.
