It’s not going to be an easy task for Bilbao to secure three points on Wednesday night, as they host the holding European champions, PSG. The Parisians have won four of their five Champions League games this season, currently sitting second in the standings, only behind Arsenal. PSG’s sole loss came against Bayern Munich, but Luis Enrique’s men were unfortunate to come away from that match empty-handed.

The Parisians scored once from their 25 shots, with Manuel Neuer racking up a total of eight saves. Excluding that, PSG have pulled off some impressive wins against Barcelona, Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen. They were more clinical in their most recent outing, easing past Rennes by a 5-0 scoreline at the weekend.

With key attacking players returning from injury, the French side are a real force to be reckoned with going forward, and it seems unlikely that Bilbao will be able to keep them at bay.

With a total of 19 goals scored from just five European outings, no side has been more efficient than PSG in the final third, and they will hope to improve those numbers on Wednesday night. In their last Champions League match, Vitinha bagged himself a hat-trick as PSG put five past Tottenham.

However, the Premier League side did find some success in the final third, and caused the Parisians problems. Spurs marked their trip to the Parc-des-Princes with three goals, meaning PSG have conceded eight goals from their five Champions League matches this term. They have, at times, looked vulnerable defensively, which Athletic Club will hope to exploit.

But, it’s impossible to ignore that PSG have cleared this line on their own in three out of five matches, putting seven goals past Bayer Leverkusen and four past Atalanta. This selection has landed in all five of their Champions League games so far.

Vitinha put in a masterful performance from midfield against Spurs, as he scored a hat-trick to help his side to another three points. The Portuguese maestro registered a total of five shots, highlighting just how involved he was in the final third. That has been a familiar theme all season - Vitinha is averaging 2.32 shots per 90 across all competitions, and has landed this selection in all five of his Champions League appearances.

He seems to save his best performances for the European stage. He racked up six shots against Bayern Munich, while also getting on the scoresheet against Leverkusen. In fact, no PSG player has had more efforts at goal than Vitinha this season, which makes this market stand out. Vitinha has hit this line in 16 of his 17 starts this term, only failing against Auxerre. However, he was replaced after just 35 minutes in that game, due to injury.

After serving his two game La Liga suspension, Oihan Sancet was rushed straight back into the starting 11 by Ernesto Valverde at the weekend, and it paid off. Sancet registered five shots against Atletico Madrid, contributing to his side winning the game 1-0.

The Spanish international committed one foul in that match before being replaced after 82 minutes, meaning he is averaging 1.58 fouls per 90 this season. He has shown a tendency to lose his head at times, receiving a straight red card against Barcelona, which led to his suspension.

Trailing the Spanish champions by three goals to nil after 50 minutes, Sancet lashed out at Fermin Lopez, and was sent off following a VAR check. If PSG are to dominate proceedings on Wednesday night, Sancet again could lose his temper. The 25-year-old has committed a foul in 12 of his 14 appearances across all competitions this season.
