Copenhagen travel to Camp Nou on Wednesday night to conclude their Champions League group stage campaign. The Danish side currently sit outside of the play-off spots, but that is only on goal difference - they will need a positive result against Barcelona in midweek, although that promises to be no easy feat.

📈 Barcelona v Copenhagen Form & Tactics

The Catalans cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over La Liga basement-dwellers Real Oviedo on Sunday afternoon, maintaining their one-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish top-flight. Their recent loss against Real Sociedad has put them in a slightly precarious position, as they aim to retain the title.

Hansi Flick’s men haven’t been totally convincing in the Champions League this season, with their record of four wins, one draw and two losses ranking them 9th. While that puts them level on points with the likes of Newcastle, PSG and Man City, the Catalans have shipped 13 goals from their seven European outings so far, highlighting a potential vulnerability at the back.

Copenhagen aren’t a side to be underestimated here, and they come into this clash in excellent form. Following the conclusion of the Danish Superliga in December, Copenhagen’s full focus has been on Champions League proceedings, which seems to have benefitted them. They pulled off an impressive away victory against Villarreal, courtesy of a 90th-minute winner from Andreas Cornelius, before also grinding out a point against Napoli. This time, it was Jordan Larsson from the bench who had the decisive impact, scoring the rebound after initially having his penalty saved.

📔 Barcelona v Copenhagen Formation & Team News

Pedri suffered a hamstring injury against Slavia Prague last time out in the Champions League, so will miss this clash - Eric Garcia could return to the midfield to partner Frenkie de Jong. Fermin Lopez will hope to displace Dani Olmo from the starting XI here, aiming to provide for Robert Lewandowski upfront. Jules Kounde only featured for the second period at the weekend, so he should start at right back, while Joao Cancelo was handed his first Barcelona start of the season since re-joining the club.

Mohamed Elyounoussi is set to retain his starting spot on the right wing, with Cornelius and Viktor Dadason upfront. William Chem is the main candidate to replace Delaney in midfield, while Viktor Claesson will also be pushing to start. Marcos Lopez will feature at left back, and the Peruvian will have his hands full trying to contain Lamine Yamal, while Elias Achouri is likely to start ahead of him on the left wing.
