With an in-depth knowledge of the region & teams I have been involved in a specialist podcast & more for close to a decade. My favourite types of bets are attacking the goal lines and identifying the tactics & style of each team & manager who can contribute positively. Outside of betting I was once a Sunday League goalkeeper myself. But my boots are now retired and instead prefer to hit up the cricket pitch and golf course in my spare time.

Over 2.5 Goals

Brentford matches are usually goal-heavy, especially at home. Their fixtures average 3.90 goals per game in the Premier League with 13 out of 16 games going over 2.5 goals. Here at home 7 out of 8 affairs have gone over 2.5, with 6 of those going over 3.5. They have some very exciting attacking players such as Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and an in-form Kevin Schade. Forest started the season as an unders team but in Chris Wood they possess 1 of the top scorers in the Premier League. The trend for Forest fixtures is for more goals with 4 of their last 5 going over 2.5. This fixture ended 3-2 last season and 2-1 the year before. Taking the clear and simple over 2.5 goal line looks like a great option in West London.

🔍 Brentford v Nottingham Forest Players to Watch

🔴 Yoane Wissa

Brentford’s top striker looks a massive price here considering the season he’s had. Wissa has bagged 9 goals from 13 Premier League appearances and is 1 of the leading scorers in the division. Considering that he missed a whole month of action due to injury his stats are pretty remarkable. Wissa was on the scoresheet in midweek during the EFL Cup loss to Newcastle and will be delighted to be back at home where he’s scored all bar one of his goals this season. Odds of 3.10 to score anytime are massive on an in-form striker who's much more dangerous at the Gtech.

🔴 Bryan Mbeumo

Mbeumo has been another impressive attacker for Brentford this season. He’s registered 10 goals and provided 3 assists across all competitions and is another key element of this Bees offense. The best market to take him in is to ‘score or assist’ because he offers more of a dual threat than someone like Wissa who is just an out-and-out finisher. Mbeumo will cut inside from wide areas and is a serious threat to set up goals. At the moment he appears to be the first-choice Brentford penalty taker which also adds weight to this bet.

🔴 Nathan Collins

Brentford are not known for being a large volume shooting team. However, 1 area they have always targeted is set pieces and centre back Nathan Collins has become more prominent from them this season. In the previous campaign he only registered 10 shots from 29 appearances but he’s already matched that figure in just 16 games. Collins has had 10 shots this season, 5 of which were on target and he’s also scored 2 goals. His 1.93m frame makes him an ideal target man for balls into the box and he looks a big price at 2.0 just to register 1 shot or more in this match.
