Burnley v Blackburn Bet Builder Tips
We’ve put together two bet builders for the first East Lancs derby of the season, level 1 is 3/1, and level 2 is 10/1, and you can also see our Burnley v Blackburn betting preview, which includes best bets.
3/1 Burnley v Blackburn Bet Builder Level 1
🛑 Josh Brownhill to commit 2+ fouls
📈 Odds: 1.57
This game should be a competitive East Lancashire derby, so tackles should be flying in. Brownhill will be playing against Lewis Travis who draws a lot of fouls as well as committing them.
He is averaging 1.9 fouls per 90 over Burnley’s last 30 league matches, and has begun the Championship season with 3, 5, and 2 fouls, an average of 3.33 per 90.
Has played every minute of the Championship season so far, so should have the full 90 minutes to hit this line.
🛑 Yuki Ohashi to commit 1+ fouls
📈 Odds: 1.53
Ohashi is a very energetic forward who leads the press and likes to use his body in duels.
He has committed six fouls already this season at an average of 3.83 per 90, including committing four fouls in his last start against Oxford United.
🟨 Over 3.5 match cards
📈 Odds: 1.20
Heated derby matches tend to produce more cards, and in what could turn into a much more competitive affair than most recent East Lancs derbies, this game could get heated quickly.
Burnley have earned eight yellow cards already in the Championship, 3, 2, and 3 across their three games respectively. This bet would’ve landed in two out of three of their matches.
Blackburn have had six yellow cards, 1, 3, and 2 in each Championship match so far, and this bet would also have landed in two of their three matches.
There were eight cautions in the last derby in March 2023.
🛑 Sondre Tronstad to commit 1+ fouls
📈 Odds: 1.30
Tronstad has become a tenacious midfielder as well as a ball distributor. He has fouled at least once in each of the three Championship matches this season, committing five fouls in total.
He averages 1.39 fouls per 90 across Blackburn’s last 30 Championship matches, and like Brownhill, he hasn’t been substituted so far this season, so he should have the full 90 minutes to commit a foul here.
10/1 Burnley v Blackburn Bet Builder Level 2
🎯 Hannibal Mejbri to have 1+ shots on target
📈 Odds: 2.0
He played in the #10 role when making his debut in midweek against Wolves in the EFL Cup.
If Burnley are to fulfil their status as favourites for the match they will be expecting to have a number of shots on target, Mejbri, as part of the front four, should contribute to that.
Burnley had six shots on target against Luton and four against Cardiff, Mejbri wasn’t at the club at the time, but Brownhill, who played further forward, had a shot on target in each match.
Mejbri had a shot on target in 1.5 90s for Manchester United last season.
🛑 Lucas Pires to commit 1+ fouls
📈 Odds: 1.67
Pires looks a surprisingly big price for his position on the pitch, full backs are often more prone to fouls due to the 1-v-1 nature of the defending that they often have to do.
He has already committed six fouls in his three Championship matches so far, fouling three times last time out, and also committing three in the first match.
Like Brownhill and Tronstad, he has played almost all of the minutes in the league so far this season, so should have plenty of time to hit this line.
🛑 Ryan Hedges to commit 1+ fouls
📈 Odds: 1.25
Hedges has started every Championship match so far, making at least one foul in each of these starts.
He is averaging 1.44 fouls per 90 in the Championship in Blackburn’s last 30 games.
🟨 Lewis Travis to be shown a card
📈 Odds: 2.30
Travis is on five fouls already this season, including three in his last Championship match. He has been booked in both of his last two Championship matches.
Was given a yellow card at Turf Moor in the derby in 2022, and looks a very solid shout to pick up another here.
