Burnley saw their winless streak extended to 16 games at the weekend, as they were beaten by West Ham in a massive clash at the bottom of the table.

By contrast, Crystal Palace were relieved to finally put an end to their rut, and they host Burnley at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night, hoping to make it back-to-back wins.

📈 Crystal Palace v Burnley Form & Stats

Crysencio Summerville took just 13 minutes to open the scoring against Burnley last time out, bagging in his fifth consecutive match. The Clarets went 2-0 down shortly after, this time allowing Valentin Castellanos to score the first Premier League goal of his career. The Hammers were able to take their foot off the gas after that and allow Burnley to have the lion’s share of possession at Turf Moor.

However, the Clarets were unable to make their domination count, although Mads Hermansen deserves immense credit. He racked up five saves in total, keeping his clean sheet intact. It looked like performances were beginning to improve for Scott Parker’s men, but with back-to-back losses, the writing looks to be on the wall for them this season.

Palace have also been in a rut, but they were finally able to secure a positive result last time out, in a big game too. They overcame rivals Brighton in the M23 derby by a 1-0 scoreline. After ranking as high as fourth in the Premier League in December, Palace dipped down to 16th, but they will hope they can use that result last weekend to build some momentum going forward.

📔 Crystal Palace v Burnley Formation & Team News

Oliver Glasner handed Jorgen Strand Larsen his full debut last weekend, and the Norwegian international was unfortunate not to score. He had three shots in total and hit the target twice. New signing Evann Guessand also looked sharp when he came on, and he provided the assist for Sarr.

The former Aston Villa man could get the opportunity to start midweek, displacing Yeremy Pino from the eleven. Daichi Kamada also made his return from injury, so he could be an option to partner Adam Wharton in midfield, assuming Jefferson Lerma slots into the back three once more.

Scott Parker opted for a slightly more attacking lineup against West Ham, which failed to pay off. Hannibal Mejbri was drafted into the starting eleven, with Axel Tuanzebe dropping out. Zian Flemming led the line to little effect, meaning Amrando Broja or Lyle Foster could replace him midweek. Jaidon Anthony and Marcus Edwards should continue on the flanks.
