Basel have made a black and white start to the Swiss Super League season. They’ve won their two home games, but lost the two away games they've contested this season. They’ve scored as many goals as they’ve conceded across these games (8-7) but do come into this first leg having registered a 6-1 win over Biel in the Swiss Cup. 

When it comes to standout players to keep an eye on for Basel here, Xherdan Shaqiri is a player that can make a real impact across the two legs. He’s registered three goal contributions across his four appearances in the Swiss Super League this season and has more than enough quality to compete at this level as demonstrated by the 42 goal contributions he registered across 39 appearances for Basel last season. 

🔵 Copenhagen Enjoy Solid Start

Copenhagen have been near perfect so far, both in the Danish Superligaen and Champions League qualifying. They’ve won four of their five games in the Superligaen, scoring 12 goals across these games but also conceding six. They’ve beaten Drita and Malmo in qualifying so far to reach this stage and didn’t concede a goal across these four games, though we can expect Basel to carry a much greater attacking threat than those two sides.

Youssoufa Moukoko (remember him?) scored his first goal for Copenhagen against Nordsjaelland last time out and is attempting to remind the footballing world of his talent after struggling to build on a promising season for Dortmund during the 2022/23 season.
