England have been a really funny one for corners in this tournament so far. They have earned the least, three in total across two matches, and they conceded four against Denmark.

Slovenia have earned nine across their two matches, five and four, and with the emphasis for them to get a result here, the chances of them getting three or more corners looks to have been slightly underrated. Priced up on England’s previous excellent record at preventing corners in qualifying, rather than their current level of play – as demonstrated in the tournament so far.

The Slovenian central defender has conceded three fouls in the first two matches of the tournament and averages over a foul per game in his career at club level as well.

Up against Harry Kane, in a match in which a narrow, low-scoring England win looks likely there will be a number of physical duels, especially the way that Drkusic has looked to play up against the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Jonas Wind, and Rasmus Hojlund so far in this tournament.

In the only other match that Drkusic played a high number of minutes for Slovenia he managed four fouls, so though he has a small sample size in terms of caps, he averages 1.25 fouls per 90 minutes played in a Slovenia shirt.

Slovenia have covered the line tipped here in each of their last four competitive internationals, including conceding 12 fouls v Denmark and 13 v Serbia in the opening set of group games.

England have been the most fouled team in the tournament over the first two matches, they have been fouled 28 times over the first two matches. With the likes of Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, and Harry Kane in the team, all players that entice fouls, this is always going to be a part of the tactical element of the game.

Slovenia have players who are more than capable of making those fouls as well, especially in midfield with Adam Cerin, Petar Stojanovic, and Timi Elsnik.

Cerin has conceded nine fouls so far this tournament without so much as a yellow card. With yellow cards rescinded after the group stages as well this should give the Slovenia midfielder carte blanche to go out and break up attacks and press away to his heart’s content.

As well as the four and five foul matches he has managed in this tournament, Cerin has gone ten matches in a row of committing fouls and he has committed three or more fouls in three of his last four internationals.

The tall 21-year-old striker has been targeted by some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs and surely will be wound up to make a big impact in this match.

Sesko has taken two shots in each of the Euro 2024 group stage matches so far, and though he hasn’t been at his best, he has still managed to create this output.

Sesko is dangerous from the edge of the box, with headers, and his movement is good enough to be available in the box for passes from his wide players and central midfielders alike.

He has averaged 2.76 shots per 90 for RB Leipzig as well this season, so this would be an average return for the youngster.

Bellingham was fouled four times in England’s opening match against Serbia, but he was looking for fouls a bit too often against Denmark. If Bellingham can adjust his play back to simply looking to affect the game, rather than being concerned about the potential tackles against him, fouls will be drawn more naturally.

The record is there to make this a good addition to a bet builder though. Bellingham has been fouled 2.8 times per 90 for Real Madrid this season, he is very likely to play 90 minutes, he has Adam Cerin, a prolific fouler, in his area, and his last three matches before this tournament saw the former Birmingham City man fouled 13 times in three matches.
