The honour of refereeing this year's European Championship finals is that of François Letexier. It’ll be his fourth outing of the competition, having last taken charge of Spain’s round of 16 clash with Georgia. On that occasion, he gave out just 16 fouls and 2 cards.

A low card tally is pretty typical of this experienced referee who’s averaged 3.84 yellows per match across his 200+ game career. He distributed just 10 cards in his 3 Euros matches so far.

In the cards market, England’s three knockout games have seen a remarkable 18 dealt out. Over the same period, Spain have been unpredictable, to say the least. 4 cards were handed out in their clash with France, 13 against Germany, and just 2 versus Georgia.

You may be better off sticking to the fouls market which seems slightly easier to predict. Letexier has averaged 24.38 fouls per game across his career which could work nicely given Spain’s recent fouling tendencies. They’ve averaged 14 per game so far, racking up a total of 84. England on the other hand have drawn 84, committing far fewer, with just 50.
