FC Emmen v TOP Oss
🏟
Friday 4th February – 7:00PM KO
FC Emmen are one of the favorites for promotion in the Eerste Divisie, while TOP Oss are eyeing a mid-table position at best. FC Emmen come off a good 1-0 away win over Excelsior, who are just one place below the Emmenaren. TOP Oss managed to beat FC Den Bosch, as Lion Kaak struck a volley late in the match for a 2-1 win. Emmen have now won five straight and I believe they have what it takes to make it six in a row. They will inflict a loss on TOP Oss, who did win three in a row.
FC Emmen have now played 10 games at home in total, winning 7 and losing 3. They have won 5 straight and have only allowed six goals. TOP Oss have lined up twelve times in a way games, and have lost seven.
FC Emmen have been active on the transfer market. The leading scorer Jeredy Hilterman has left, but he had already been benched for a few games and has been replaced by Réda Kharchouch who also seems prone to goals and equally if not more prolific. Mart Lieder has also been signed to secure even further goals.
TOP Oss don’t really miss any important players, and have not been very active on the transfer market. So, with no major players out – or replaced in the case of Emmen, it should be a straightforward squad selection and attacking style – and a home win.
FC Emmen also managed to beat TOP in Oss, winning it 2-1.

FC Volendam v Jong Utrecht
🏟
Friday 4th February – 7:00PM KO
It’s the league leaders Volendam squaring off against struggling Jong Utrecht. Volendam have only lost once all season and that was in the second match round. Jong Utrecht are not so lucky. They are currently 17th and have won just six times. They booked 13 losses in total, and have lost four straight. They also failed to score in each of these games.
Volendam have scored in all home games, a total of 28 goals from the 11 games played.
Brian Plat and John Murkin are out for Volendam, but they have plenty of options to replace them. FC Utrecht loanee Denso Kasius (21 apps, 5 goals) has earnt himself a transfer to Italian side Parma, he has been one of the revelations this season, but I do see Volendam providing cover as they have a deep squad available. They will keep on playing in a 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 formation, with three experience central defenders and then pacey wingbacks, generally in the form of Walid Ould-Chikh who scored the game winner against MVV.
Jong Utrecht meanwhile miss a few starting players. Mohamed Malahi (15 apps) is out upfront and three first choice defenders are out, which could cause them some additional problems. Davy van den Berg (13 apps) and Rayan El Azrak (18 apps) have also left the club. Jong Utrecht have so far used 33 different players and may have to dig even deeper into their youth setup to field a team on Friday night
Volendam also managed to beat Jong Utrecht 1-0 in Utrecht earlier this season and I expect a more comfortable win playing at home in Volendam.

Prediction: Volendam -1, 1.83 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Jong PSV v Helmond Sport
🏟
Friday 4th February – 7:00PM KO
Jong PSV Eindhoven should be the side winning here, facing off against fellow Brabant side Helmond Sport. Jong PSV Eindhoven are doing quite well, and are the second-ranked “Jong” team in ninth place, with 9 wins and losses from their 23 games. Helmond are only eighteenth, and have won just 5 and suffered defeat 12 times.
Jong PSV have won three straight and have secured 10 points from their last four games. Helmond Sport have lost two straight, and have scored exactly one goal in all the five most recent matches they have played. Jong PSV’s main man is Johan Bakayoko who has scored six goals in the last three matches, leading them to 41 goals scored in total. This recently includes two straight home wins, 5-1 over Almere City and 3-0 over Excelsior.
Jong PSV should have no issues in their squad selection. There are no major injuries or suspensions. Helmond are without Jules Houttequiet (19 appearances), but Thomas Beekman should pick up this position. I expect Jong PSV to win here, playing their standard offensive mindset. Helmond will continue to struggle for goals. They have scored only 9 goals, and aided by 2 own goals if we omit their top scorer Jellert van Landschoot. He has been ever present this season but has scored just one goal in the last six contests.
Jong PSV also managed a win over Helmond, beating them 1-0 in Helmond earlier this season.

Prediction: Jong PSV to Win, 1.50 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
FC Den Bosch v ADO Den Haag
🏟
Sunday 6th February – 11:15AM KO
FC Den Bosch and ADO Den Haag have always had a bit of a rivalry, at least to the fans. This could spark a little bit towards the game although the Dutch government hasn’t allowed for away supporters to be at matches yet due to Covid-19 regulations. Considering all the recent wheeling and dealing and injuries, I see the home side winning here.
FC Den Bosch are having a poor period and a poor season so far, but what is better than ended a poor streak in a rivalry match? It has to be noted that they haven’t been able to win their last six league games and have lost four straight. However, the 2-1 loss to TOP Oss was an unfortunate one, where they definitely had the better of the match.
ADO Den Haag have been showing some inconsistency. They lost 5-0 to Roda, then beat Excelsior 3-2 to then draw De Graafschap 0-0 at home in the last three league matches.
FC Den Bosch were lacking some offensive firepower with both Roy Kuijpers and Jizz Hornkamp departing (14 goals combined) – but they have acquired experienced winger Torino Hunte and Arsenal youth Nikolaj Müller to secure some offensive firepower.
ADO Den Haag meanwhile have sold Vicente Besuijen (22 apps) to Aberdeen and have now lost Eljero Elia (9 apps) with a possible season ending injury. Gregor Breinburg (15 apps) is injured as well as first goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans (23 apps). ADO have brought in Alessandro Damen as replacement, he comes on loan from Heracles but has not played all season. I believe Den Bosch have balanced their squad well and they can come out on top. ADO Den Haag booked a slight 3-2 home win earlier in the season.

Prediction: FC Den Bosch +1, 2.10 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
