Levidiakos v Asteras Tripolis
🏟
Sunday 18th September – 4:00PM KO
A poor start to the season has seen Levadiakos grab just one point from their first four Super League duels. The newly promoted side have yet to play on home soil due to renovation work taking place at Levadia Stadium. This will be their first duel at home this season and they would expect to get something from the game, having registered three defeats and one draw thus far.
No team have scored fewer goals than Levadiakos, who have recorded just 10 shots on target across four games this season. Their first goal in 2021/22 came in their last game, when Thierry Moutinho unleashed a shot from outside the box and was lucky enough to see the ball deflect off a defender before ending into the back of the net.
Their 2-1 defeat away at PAS Giannina was one of their two games which ended with 2.5 goals along with their 3-0 loss to Aris in their Super League opener. Yet, this time Levadiakos are facing another team who have been struggling to find the back of the net lately.
After taking advantage of Volos’ defensive frailties and scoring three times in their first game of the season, Asteras Tripolis have failed to net in their last three duels against Olympiacos, Lamia and Aris.
Neither Asteras nor Levadiakos have managed to register a single win this season but losing this game could put their coaches’ jobs in danger. The two teams have scored a combined one goal in their last six games, while their H2H indicates that none of the last nine games between Levadiakos and Asteras ended in over 2.5 goals.

Aris Thessaloniki v Olympiacos
🏟
Sunday 18th September – 6:00PM KO
After grabbing a morale-boosting 2-0 victory away at Asteras Tripolis, Aris have announced the appointment of experienced coach Alan Pardew, who came to replace Germán Burgos. Pardew will make his debut in the Aris dugout in the game against the reigning Super League champions on Sunday.
After conceding eight goals under Burgos in six official games this season, the team seems to have improved in defence, keeping a couple of clean sheets in the last two games after the Argentine coach’s dismissal. One of the reasons behind Aris’ decision to fire Burgos was the team’s defensive frailties. Pardew’s task will be to solidify the defence and get the most of a talented attack, one which has scored 15 goals in eight games.
Hence, Pardew will opt for a successful debut against a struggling Olympiacos side, who haven’t won any of their last three games across all competitions. The Greek champions are heading to Thessaloniki after a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Freiburg on home soil, having registered just one win in their last five games.
Olympiacos have conceded at least one goal in all but two of their last 12 games, demonstrating their defensive weaknesses in each and every match so far in 2022/23. New coach Carlos Corberán, who has just two wins in his first six games in charge, hasn’t help the team improve upfront either, as Olympiacos have scored more than one goal in just three of their last 12 games.
Olympiacos may have conceded just two goals in the Super League, but they haven’t faced any strong teams thus far, Aris being their first tough opponents this season. Their H2H shows that Olympiacos have grabbed just one win in their last six visits (1W, 3D, 2L) away at Aris, who is always posing problems to the Greek champions due to their attacking style of play.
A defeat for Olympiacos could lead to Corberán’s dismissal, but his team do not have what it takes to grab all three points away at a strong Aris side, who will try to benefit from the new manager bounce and the noisy home support at a Harilaou Stadium where Aris have registered just two defeats in their last 22 games.
