Nottingham Forest v Leicester
Kick Off: Sunday 11th May at 14:15
Watch Live: Sky Sports Premier League
Nottingham Forest will be hoping to keep their Champions League hopes alive when they welcome Leicester on Sunday afternoon. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side could be given a big advantage by the time they line up for this fixture, with Newcastle and Chelsea facing off earlier in the day and Aston Villa having a tough assignment against Bournemouth the night before.
Forest have been excellent all season but seem to be losing momentum at the wrong time. This is the perfect fixture to reignite their charge for Champions League football against a Leicester side that are already relegated and have only won one of their last 13 games across all competitions - which came against Southampton.
⭐ Nottingham Forest v Leicester Best Bet
Only Chris Wood (22) has registered more goal contributions for Nottingham Forest this season than Anthony Elanga (15). He’s overachieved his combined xG and xA to register this total which is a trend found across the Nottingham Forest squad.
Elanga has fired 21 shots on target across his 28 Premier League starts for Nottingham Forest this season (0.84 per 90) and appears to be particularly threatening at the City Ground. Elanga had two shots on target against Crystal Palace in Forest’s most recent Premier League fixture and will be key for the home side if they are to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
Forest managed 20 shots in the initial meeting between the sides with five of these efforts finding the target. Elanga wasn’t able to have a shot on target on that occasion but both of these metrics are well above Forest’s averages for the season and suggest that they can unlock this Leicester backline with relative ease.

🔍 Nottingham Forest v Leicester Key Players
🔴 Chris Wood
Wood scored a brace in the initial meeting between the sides as Forest ran out 3-1 winners. Forest will need their top scorer again here as they eye up three points to ramp up the pressure on Newcastle and Chelsea before the end of the season.
Wood’s goalscoring rate has dried up a little in the second half of the season, but he’s recently found the back of the net against Tottenham and will be given opportunities here. Wood is the most clinical striker in the league when comparing by xG difference, he’s scored 19 goals in the top flight from an xG of just 11.7. Forest should get plenty of chances here and Wood looks a nice price to score anytime at 2.0.
🔴 Neco Williams
Williams has committed 23 fouls across his 25 starts in the Premier League this season (0.89 per 90). He’s played in a variety of fullback roles for Nottingham Forest this season but should continue as the left back here now that Ola Aina has returned from injury.
This pits Williams against Kasey McAteer who hasn’t featured as regularly as Leicester fans would have liked this season, he’s won 14 fouls in the Premier League this season despite only starting six games (2.07 fouls won per 90). Forest will be aggressive here, which could lead to some needless fouls.
