Real Madrid have looked unstoppable under Alonso, but Levante have already shown they won’t roll over easily. I think fans could be in for a treat here.
Real Madrid have maintained a perfect record under Alonso, winning all six games across competitions.
Levante’s 4-0 win over Girona last time out was their first of the season, although their opponents were reduced to nine men by the 46th minute.
The last 10 H2Hs have been fairly balanced, with Madrid claiming four wins, Levante three, and three producing draws.

🔴 Signs of Resilience Amid Tough Start for Levante
Levante endured a tough opening few games, amid their return to La Liga, having won the Segunda Division title last season.
Three consecutive losses put Julián Calero’s men in a precarious position early on; however, the four points they’ve picked up in their two games since are a testament to their resilience and character.
Last time out, Levante battered Girona 4-0, although they have, at least in part, their opponents’ recklessness to thank for that, given they’d gone down to nine men as early as the 46th minute.
Their toughest game of the year came in the second matchweek, as they hosted Barcelona at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. On that night, Levante produced an impressive 2.14 expected goals - more than their illustrious opponents, and even stormed into a 2-0 lead. Although they ultimately let it slip, falling to a 3-2 defeat, their display still serves to indicate that they won’t go down without a fight against Madrid.
⚪ Madrid Maintain Perfect Record With Ease
Xabi Alonso’s impressive start to life in Madrid has seen them maintain a perfect record with six games played across all competitions.
They’ve been a dominant force in each of those matches, conceding very few chances, with the only exception being their 2-1 away victory against Real Sociedad.
On that occasion, a 32nd-minute Huijsen red card complicated the matter, particularly when compounded with the penalty Madrid later went on to concede; however, still, the visitors were able to exceed their opponents in terms of expected goals and take all three points home.
Last time out, they recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Espanyol, despite Mbappe missing a plethora of chances. Los Blancos are yet to be troubled by any of their opponents, and it’s easy to see why they’re heavy favourites here.
📊 Levante v Real Madrid H2H
These sides last crossed paths in 2022, when Real Madrid thrashed Levante 6-0 at the Bernabéu. That was actually the second of two six-goal thrillers they treated fans to that season, with Levante having held Madrid to a 3-3 draw earlier that year, even edging Los Blancos on expected goals on that occasion.
Looking a little further back, the head-to-head record is tighter than many would assume. Across the last five meetings, both teams have picked up two wins apiece alongside that draw. Stretch it to the last 10, and Madrid hold just a narrow edge with four victories to Levante’s three, with the spoils shared on three occasions.
