The following boost covers Luis Diaz scoring, fouling, and being fouled for Liverpool's 3 games between Boxing Day and January 6th.

Liverpool's fixture list is an interesting one, with Arne Slot's side set to take on the following teams over the Festive Period:

📅 Leicester (H) - Sat Dec 26th [20:00]
📅 West Ham (A) - Sun Dec 29th [17:15]
📅 Man United (H) - Sun Jan 5th [16:30]

⚽ Luis Diaz to Score 2+ Goals

📅
Fixtures: Leicester, West Ham, Man United

Diaz has scored 7 Premier League goals so far this season, putting him behind only Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool ranks. The Colombian netted twice against Tottenham last time out and has been scoring at a rate of 0.65 goals per PL 90.

He’ll be coming up against 3 teams with less than convincing defensive records over the festive period, Leicester have the 3rd worst xGA in the league, behind only Southampton and Ipswich, while West Ham are 16th for xGA. Man United creep into the top half of the xGA table, but are far from being watertight defensively.

Diaz has stepped his shot taking numbers of late and has fired 14 efforts at goal in his last 6 games for the Reds, he's also recorded multiple shots at goal in 4/8 of his sides home league fixtures.

The winger netted twice at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture and will be looking to get on the scoresheet again, he’s been playing more centrally in recent weeks which also benefits his chances of finding the net over the coming matches.

🛑 Luis Diaz to Commit 5+ Fouls

📅
Fixtures: Leicester, West Ham, Man United

Diaz is averaging a high 2.15 fouls committed per 90 in the Premier League this term, he’s behind only Darwin Nunez for the highest fouls per 90 rate of the whole Liverpool squad (including players with 3+ 90s to their name).

The winger has committed multiple fouls in 6/16 Premier League outings this season, including 5 v Arsenal and 3 v Ipswich and Aston Villa.

Diaz is set for a few strong matchups over the festive period which should see his fouling habit continue. While he may occupy a more central role, Diaz still tends to drift over to the left, Leicester right-back James Justin is being fouled at a high rate of 1.35 times per 90 this term, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is being fouled 0.53 times per 90 and Noussair Mazraoui at 0.86 times per 90.

🩹 Luis Diaz to be Fouled 4+ Times

📅
Fixtures: Leicester, West Ham, Man United

Surprisingly, Diaz’s fouling numbers are higher than his ‘to be fouled’ numbers, although the Colombian is still among Liverpool’s most fouled players. Diaz has been fouled 14 times in 10.7 90s so far this season (1.31 per 90), meaning he’s behind only Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch in this sphere - notably, both have played considerably more minutes than Diaz.

Leicester are committing the 3rd most tackles in the defensive third so far this season, behind only Wolves and Nottingham Forest. Diaz will likely have plenty of opportunity to get at the Foxes’ backline, which should lead to a few mis-timed challenges.

Diaz has a couple of strong match-ups in the two games that follow, Wan-Bissaka has been fouling at a rate of 0.80 times per 90, while Mazraoui has been committing infringements at a high 1.51 times per 90 (21 fouls in 13.9 90s).

Diaz has drawn multiple fouls in 3 of Liverpool’s 8 home league matches so far this term, and there’s every chance this trend can continue when Leicester and Man United visit Anfield.
