Luton v Leeds
Kick Off: Saturday 5th April at 12:30
What TV Channel: Sky Sports Football
A match with huge ramifications at both ends of the table with Luton looking to emerge from the relegation zone for the first time in months, and Leeds who have seen their charge to the Premier League under threat after recent results.
⭐ Luton v Leeds Best Bet
There can be no doubt that Leeds are the better side going into this contest. They are way above Luton in the league, their performance data is much better, but, there are some form concerns that make the 1.57 about Leeds to win feel a bit too short.
Luton gave Middlesbrough a really tough game at Kenilworth Road last week, winning the xG battle by over 2 xG, and they have sandwiched that with two fine wins. The atmosphere to keep Luton in the league could be a key factor here as well, despite it being a 12:30 Saturday kick-off.
Leeds will have to work hard and play confidently to get their own recent run out of their minds. They conceded over 1 xG at home for the first league game this season against Swansea last time out, and they have lost to Portsmouth and drawn at QPR in their last two away matches.
There are a lot of indications that a bet on the Luton/Draw Double Chance appeals at a price of 2.3.
⭐ Best Bet: Luton Double Chance @ 2.30

🔍 Luton v Leeds Players to Watch
🟠 Thelo Aasgaard
Aasgaard was courted by many Championship clubs until Luton finally took the plunge on the Norway international. He has played almost every available minute for Luton since arriving from Wigan. So, we can feel assured he plays a big chunk of the match, even though we'll have Sub On Play On up our sleeves.
He has hit an average of 1.52 shots per 90, and hit over 1.5 shots in three of his four home matches for Luton in the Championship, averaging three shots per 90 across those matches.
➡️ Thelo Aasgaard - Over 1.5 Shots @ 1.83 on bet365 ↔️
🟠 Christ Makosso
Another January signing to watch for Luton is young central defender Christ Makosso. The player signed from the second tier of Belgium has impressed so far and he is not just a threat from set pieces, as his shot map shows an attempt from distance in Luton’s last home match. He is a big price for a single shot given the small sample size so far.
➡️ Christ Makosso - Over 0.5 Shots @ 2.37 on bet365 ↔️
⚪ Junior Firpo
Junior Firpo has been really interesting to watch, especially of late. Leeds have used their full backs heavily in the attacking third, with Jayden Bogle and Sam Byram also boasting increased shot volume recently.
However, Firpo’s prowess at attacking the centre of the box, especially aerially has stood out. He has scored twice recently, against Sheffield United and West Brom, and he is a good price to get another shot off here.
➡️ Junior Firpo - Over 0.5 Shots @ 1.72 on bet365 ↔️

💻 Luton v Leeds Form and Tactics
The upturn in Luton’s results couldn’t have come much later in the day. They have seven points from their last three matches, and are within a single win of the other side of the dreaded dotted line.
The tactics behind this turnaround look a lot like classic Luton. 3-5-2 with Amari'i Bell and Christ Makosso providing athleticism either side of Mark McGuinness. The midfield trio of Jordan Clark, Liam Walsh, and Thelo Aasgaard create a high intensity alchemy that balances well, and Alfie Doughty is at his best high up on the left providing ammunition to Elijah Adebayo and Carlton Morris. There are no known new injury concerns, so this team is likely to be the one used by Matt Bloomfield.
Leeds have been very consistent in their tactics all season. Daniel Farke is a coach who has 4-2-3-1 stamped through him like a stick of rock. Rotation has been limited, and, the concern is that with only seven games left, that lack of rotation has left Farke with tired individuals in his best XI at the worst time of the season.
They have won only once in five matches coming into this match, their worst run of the season. Their performance against Swansea last time out was judged by many observers to be their worst of the season.
However, we can rely on Farke to stick with the 4-2-3-1 with high and wide full backs, two holding midfielders, and Joel Piroe dropping in to help build the play, leaving Daniel James and, probably, Manor Solomon, to be the furthest players forward. Karl Darlow will come in to replace Illan Meslier between the sticks, a change that will appease supporters.
