Norwich are a strong side when it comes to beating the poorer sides in the division. They have already beaten 4 of the current bottom 6, drawing against another and having yet to play against Cardiff at home. Not only did they beat those side, they beat them by 2 goals or more, showing a level of superiority over the divisions lesser lights. Oxford have one just once away from home this season. They have managed to pick up a point on 6 occasions, but 5 of those draws came against sides places 17th or lower in the table. Norwich should have enough to win this game comfortably.

This bet has landed in 16 out of 17 home matches for Norwich this season, with the exception of a 0-1 defeat to Preston North End. Carrow Road has seen more goals than any ground in the Championship this season, at an average of 3.8 per game. 12 of 17 away games for Gary Rowett’s Oxford have also covered this bet, mostly when the opposition have managed to dominate given The U’s have only scored 10 goals on the road. The Canaries have a homebird in Sargent, with 9 of his 11 league goals this season coming at Carrow Road. Oxford United have conceded at least twice in their last 3 games, so confidence is not high at the back for The U’s.

📈 Odds: 1.33

Yellows average 3.7 corners per game on the road this season. This bet would only have failed to lane in 1 away game since the end of November. This is a similar story for The Canaries home games, as in the same time period only 3 of 10 visitors to Carrow Road have taken 5 or more corners. Given the domination we expect Norwich to exert over Oxford, we don’t envisage The U’s getting into the final third very often.

Norwich have scored 3 or more goals at home more times than they’ve covered the -1 handicap, 7 times in 17 games. 11 or 17 games have had a total of 3 goals or more. Only 1 away game under Gary Rowett would have covered this bet, and that was the first one he took charge of after being in the job 1 day, away at Leeds United, the toughest fixture in the division. That doesn’t deter us as Norwich have a similar amount of firepower as Leeds, and Oxford have conceded 2 or more in their last 3 games against lesser attacking sides.

⚽⚽ Josh Sargent to Score 2+ Goals

📈 Odds: 8.0

Sargent is in fantastic form as per bet builder 1, so given we thing Norwich may bag a few goals in this game, there has to be a decent chance that Sargent will score more than once. The USA international has scored braces in 2 of his last 7 outings, so there is plenty of precedent for it. Despite missing almost 3 months of the season through injury, Sargent is only 4 goals behind Championship leading scorers, teammate Borja Sainz and Joel Piroe, so the incentive is there for him to keep scoring the goals.

📈 Odds: 3.0

If you’d have watched Oxford’s Cameron Brannagan play in the first 16 games of this season, you’d have been forgive for thinking he was a changed man, having only picked up 2 cards in this games. Since then, he has picked up 6 cards in his last 8 games, returning to the kind of numbers he has set over the last few seasons. His card totals over the last few years read 9, 10, 11. He is up to 8 already this season, so should be good for a few more. Norwich’s opposition have picked up the 5th most yellow cards this season.
