Jack Grealish - Over 0.5 Shots

Grealish missed Everton’s 0-0 draw with Burnley last time out due to illness, but is expected to return to the starting lineup here and is generously priced for a single shot in this clash. Grealish’s main strengths are his 1v1 ability and creativity, though he has pitched in with two goals for the Toffees this season from 19 shots (1.27 per 90).

I’d still like for Grealish to take more shots at goal for the talent he has, but this price stands out when compared to other major bookmakers who have Grealish down at 1.14 for a singular shot in this encounter. There are also good Sub On Play On options for Grealish with Everton now having a lot more options in the final third due to their busy summer transfer window. Grealish could be replaced by the likes of Dibling, McNeil or Alcaraz here with all three players averaging over 1.0 shots per 90 in the Premier League this season. Ndiaye also being out of the side due to AFCON makes Grealish the main attacking player in this Everton side, so we should see him get a lot of the ball in this game.

Forest are a touch more expansive this term than they were under Nuno Espiritio Santo last season and should offer space for Everton to get shots away. They allowed Everton to have 11 shots in the most recent head to head meeting between the sides, with the Toffees walking away with an xG of 1.12.

Grealish’s shot record across the season, paired with him being the focus of Everton’s attacking play given that Ndiaye is unavailable, should see the winger have at least one shot here.
