A match that will impact both ends of the table, and one that could either almost seal Oxford’s safety or almost seal a Leeds promotion. This match takes place after the rest of the Championship have played their Good Friday fixtures, so both teams will know exactly the position that they are in before kick-off.

The Oxford captain and long-serving midfield general has been a big contributor in terms of shots all season for the Yellows. He has hit at least one shot in nine of his last ten matches, and six in his last two matches played. He also hit one shot in the reverse fixture, despite Oxford only managing six shots in that match.
👕 Oxford v Leeds Predicted XI

🔍 Oxford v Leeds Players to Watch
⚪ Joel Piroe
Piroe had seven attempts at goal against Preston, generating 1.5 xG all by himself, but he still failed to find the net. That was the third time in five matches that Piroe had three or more shots in a match, and with Daniel James still a doubt for this one with a tricky hamstring issue, Leeds may be relying on Piroe to be the main goal threat again.
➡️ Back Joel Piroe to have 3+ Shots with bet365 @ 1.50 🔛

⚪ Jayden Bogle
The Leeds right-back has been heavily involved in the attacking third for the Whites for most of the season, but the contributions seem to have only increased in recent weeks. Bogle is now hovering around the one shot per 90 minutes average, and takes them from increasingly good positions.

💻 Oxford v Leeds Form and Tactics
Oxford have managed to keep themselves at arm's length from the relegation battle all season. It has looked at times as though they were getting dragged in, but the results have come when required thus far. Indeed, Oxford have gone LWLWLW over their last six matches, after suffering from nine matches without a win. Overall, Oxford have generated only enough xG to be ranked 23rd in the Championship, and with the fourth worst defence in xG against for the season as a whole.
Gary Rowett tends to set Oxford up in a 4-2-3-1 shape. The key to the team is the double pivot in front of the defence, where Cameron Brannagan and Will Vaulks can mix just about enough physicality alongside technical ability to keep Oxford competitive in the centre. The Yellows could use more quality in forward areas, but they have been built with pace on transition in mind, with Mark Harris running hard and Placheta, Dembele, and Ole Romeny trying to provide more pace and spark. The back four is built to be solid and functional in a mid to low block.
Leeds are certain to match Oxford up in a 4-2-3-1 shape. Daniel James is a doubt, as is Joe Rothwell, but the difference for Daniel Farke is the quality in those attacking positions. Even without James, there are riches in terms of Manor Solomon, Wilfried Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson, Joel Piroe, Mateo Joseph, Largie Ramazani, and the experience of Patrick Bamford to call upon from the bench. Great quality lies in central midfield with Ao Tanaka, and in central defence with Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu. The full-backs of Junior Firpo and Jayden Bogle are also great attacking weapons.
Leeds have recovered their form just in the nick of time. From a situation in which they had won one in six, they have now won back-to-back Championship matches and sit at the top of the table again. Their last match at home to Preston saw Leeds generate 3.5 xG, their highest since defeating Coventry 2-0 in February.
