After a midweek packed with action across the continent, our experts are back on the Premier League goals trail. We have been hard at work looking for the games where nets should be bulging, and together the over 2.5 goals picks combine into a very tempting looking 5/2 treble.
The fixtures this week include Man City hosting Nottingham Forest, a game which last season saw the champions run out 6-0 winners, and two sides with very leaky defences in Burnley and Man United. Finally, we’ve covered a fascinating game between a stuttering Chelsea and an Aston Villa side who have been unable to put a consistent run of form together so far this season.
And if goals bets aren’t necessarily your only betting market this weekend, why not look at our 9/1 Premier League accumulator as well?

Saturday’s Premier League Goals Tips
Man City v Nottingham Forest
⏰
Kick-Off: 15:00
⚽
Bet: Over 2.5 goals
📈
Odds: 1.36
The champions are cruising already this season with five wins from five. Their 14 goals scored ranks them second, only behind Brighton, while their formidable backline has seen the least goals conceded.Despite this, they were breached against Sheffield United, Fulham, West Ham and Red Star Belgrade
Visiting The Etihad are Nottingham Forest who are on a fine run themselves following some impressive business in the transfer window, particularly on deadline day.
The impressive coup of Ibrahim Sangare headlined their signings alongside cheaper deals for players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi, who opened his account on Monday. That 1-1 draw against Burnley followed an impressive win at Chelsea alongside a promising performance, despite losing 3-2, at Old Trafford.
Although Forest have been turning out consistent performances on the road, they have looked shaky at the back, allowing a high xG. Chelsea’s inconsistent finishing meant none of their 20 shots from 2.33 xG found the back of the net, while United posted 3.08 xG and Arsenal 1.47.
City can punish the Reds where other sides have not. Spearheaded by the electric Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland, who have posted nine league goals combined already, Forest may have their work cut out.
Over 2.5 goals is the tip here, leaning heavily on City’s dominance but also with the sneaking suspicion that Taiwo Awoniyi could find the back of the net to contribute to a winning selection.

Burnley v Man United
⏰
Kick-Off: 20:00
⚽
Bet: Over 2.5 goals
📈
Odds: 1.57
Manchester United travel to Burnley on Saturday night, with both teams needing a win. Burnley currently sit 19th and the Red Devils, somewhat shockingly, in 14th.
The visitors will be seriously hoping to start picking up some points, and it starts on Saturday, as manager Erik ten Hag will certainly be feeling the pressure.
There is no denying Manchester United have been very poor this season; even in their two wins they looked sluggish and slow. However, the team they have certainly has the ability to improve.
With new signing Rasmus Hojlund now fit and playing they have looked much better going forward, and although they lost 3-1 to Brighton last week, if Hojlund’s goal had stood to make it 1-1, it may have been a different story. Their end-to-end 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich showcased their attacking ability as well as their defensive fragility. Three of their five league games have seen over 2.5 goals, which is our angle for this match.
Defensively, Man Utd have been one of the league’s worst with the fourth-most goals conceded. Burnley however have conceded the most with 12 goals, and in fewer games than every other team. Over 2.5 goals has landed in three of four for the Clarets, with the exception being the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest.

Sunday’s Premier League Goals Tips
Chelsea v Aston Villa
⏰
Kick-Off: 14:00
⚽
Bet: Over 2.5 goals
📈
Odds: 1.60
The final selection comes from Stamford Bridge where an out-of-sorts Chelsea host Aston Villa. The visitors would have been disappointed to lose 3-2 at Legia Warsaw on Thursday evening.
To put it bluntly, Chelsea are an absolute mess at the moment. Despite spending over £1 billion since the arrival of owner Todd Boehly, they have gone from being one of the biggest heavyweights in England to mere mid-table fodder. A stark turnaround is needed, but we don’t see it starting against Unai Emery’s side.
All eight Aston Villa games this season have seen over 2.5 goals. While this bet has only landed in two league games for Chelsea so far, Aston Villa’s commitment to attacking football suggests we’ll see goals at the Bridge.
