Sunderland v Watford
Championship
⏰
Kick Off: 15:00
⚽
Prediction: Sunderland to Win
📈
Odds: 1.70
🕵🏻
Scouts Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
On the face of it, it is pretty incredible that Sunderland are the price that they are against Watford here. Sunderland are being very well coached by Tony Mowbray at the moment. It has been well established that the Black Cats have struggled without a main central forward for most of the season, but at this stage they have found a way to cope without one and still maintain a threat.
They have plenty of youthful exuberance and technique, none of which is good news for Watford. At times they have looked cumbersome and slow in defensive areas. There is very little control of football matches for a team that has so many technically capable and experienced players within it.
News has also come out recently that the sale of Joao Pedro has been agreed for the summer. Pedro is Watford’s best player and this news is unlikely to provide much other than more unrest at a club which has been criticised on the pitch by their own head coach, and the ownership lambasted by the fans. Watford probably cannot wait for the season to end.

Plymouth v Burton Albion
League One
⏰
Kick Off: 15:00
⚽
Prediction: Plymouth to Win
📈
Odds: 1.40
🕵🏻
Scouts Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A win at home to Burton Albion will be enough for Plymouth Argyle to move to 98 points and seal automatic promotion to the Championship, completing one of the more remarkable jobs League One has seen in recent years by 38-year-old manager Steven Schumacher.
Burton Albion can play with freedom after having their safety confirmed in midweek. The Brewers have been excellent since Dino Maamria replaced Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the opening months of the campaign. They are no pushovers, but with promotion on the line, Plymouth should surely have enough to get over the line and confirm promotion.
With one home game left this term, Argyle have won 19, drawn one and lost two, can they reach a magical and frankly ridiculous 20th home league win of the season? Finn Azaz, Ryan Hardie, Jordan Houghton and Jay Matete will all be fresh after starting on the bench in midweek’s win over Bristol Rovers, and Schumacher has the stronger squad to deal with the two-game week.
Argyle have scored two or more goals in five of their last six home league games and can make amends for their final day heavy defeat to Milton Keynes Dons, that resulted in them missing out on the play-offs, last season.

Stevenage v Grimsby
League Two
⏰
Kick Off: 15:00
⚽
Prediction: Stevenage to Win
📈
Odds: 1.65
🕵🏻
Scouts Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Stevenage will be promoted to League One if they can beat a Grimsby Town side who have nothing to play for now.
Boro won 1-0 away at Swindon Town on Tuesday night to take a step closer to promotion courtesy of striker Jamie Reid’s first-half goal. Stevenage have won 22 of their 44 games so far this season and deserve to be in 3rd place in the table. They need just one win out of their remaining games to go up but will hope to get the job done this weekend as opposed to away at Barrow on the final day.
Evans’ side have hit form at the right time and have lost just once in their last seven league outings as they look to finally get over the line. In addition, they have won their last two home fixtures against AFC Wimbledon and Doncaster Rovers so will be confident of making it three in a row.
Grimsby are 11th in the table and have made a positive impression during their first year back in the Football League after sealing their return from the National League last year. Grimsby were beaten 2-0 away at Tranmere Rovers in their last outing on their travels. Their form on the road isn’t too impressive recently and they have picked up three points just once in their last six away from Blundell Park in all competitions which shows they have a bit of homesickness.

Elche v Rayo Vallecano
La Liga
⏰
Kick Off: 15:15
⚽
Prediction: Rayo Vallecano to Win
📈
Odds: 1.80
🕵🏻
Scouts Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rayo Vallecano’s fans, players and coaching staff are in a buoyant mood right now, after defeating Barcelona 2-1 in midweek to move into ninth place, just three points behind the seventh spot that could become a European ticket depending on the result of the Copa del Rey final. For the first time, those inside the Rayo Vallecano dressing room have admitted that European football is a possibility and they’ll go all out to try to secure it.
They really need to win away at rock bottom Elche if they’re to finish in a European spot, and they should be able to do so against a side that have lost six in a row, including all five of Sebastián Beccacece’s matches in charge. Not only do the Elche players lack motivation at this stage, as they sit a whopping 19 points adrift, but they also lack bodies as they have several players out injured, particularly in defence, to important players like Pedro Bigas and José Ángel Carmona.
Vallecano’s away form has been somewhat shaky of late, but it is hard to overstate just how poor Elche have been this season. They have amassed just 13 points all season long, with a -42 goal difference and only two wins in 31 La Liga games. At risk of being cut adrift of the European spots, and with some difficult games ahead in the run-in, Vallecano know nothing less than a win here will do.
