Form Guide for Day 2 of Royal Ascot
Day 2 of Royal Ascot will start off with the Queen Mary Stakes at 2:30pm and conclude with the Windsor Castle Stakes at 6:10pm.
For the first race of the day we’re backing Zelania to win at odds of 3.00 following her sensational runaway victory at Nottingham. Zelania, who is one of Karl Burke’s youngsters, showed terrific pace on her debut, something that we believe will be replicated in The Queen Mary Stakes.
In terms of value, the pick of the day could be Crimson Advocate at superb odds of 26.00 at E/W for the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at 3:40pm. This price is extraordinary when considering that this is the same horse that won the Queen Mary over 5f here as recently as 2023.
Ahead of the final race, we predict that Rogue Legend will come out on top at the Windsor Castle Stakes at odds of 5.50 ahead of the likes of Old is Gold. Rogue Legend managed to win the Cork maiden and will be full of confidence heading into this race.
In-between the first and last races, the following races take place on Day 2 of Royal Ascot: Queen’s Vase (3:05pm), Duke of Cambridge Stakes (3:40pm), Prince of Wales Stakes (4:20pm), Royal Hunt Cup (5pm) and Kensington Palace Stakes (5:35pm).
