Borussia Dortmund v Leverkusen

🏟
Sunday 6th February – 2:30 PM KO

Borussia Dortmund will once again be looking to outscore their opponents this week in the Bundesliga, as they take on a Bayer Leverkusen side that will be on the hunt for revenge after a 4-3 defeat to Marco Rose’s team earlier in the season.

The Westfalen side haven’t exactly been convincing in the Bundesliga this season, but to Dortmund’s credit they do seem to have a habit of doing just enough to pick up all three points most weeks. That’s shown from the fact that the club have conceded 31 goals in 20 league games, but have compensated for that by scoring 52 of their own.

This “score more than the opponents” policy will be out in force on Sunday, with Rose likely having to make due without key defenders Mats Hummels and Emre Can. Erling Haaland is also down as a doubt, but should make the starting XI. Dortmund’s defence will be as shaky as ever, but their front line should still be in fine form.

Similarly, Leverkusen may have to make due without key defenders of their own, such as Edmond Tapsoba but will also be looking to compensate with attacking intent. Gerardo Seoane’s side may not have as many points as Dortmund, but their goal scoring record is just three goals short of Sunday’s opponent.

Whichever way this game goes, we can be sure that there will be plenty of goals from both sides.

Prediction: Over 3.5 Goals, 1.91 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Wolfsburg v Greuther Furth

🏟
Sunday 6th February – 4:30PM KO

It says a lot about Wolfsburg’s current predicament that Sunday’s Bundesliga clash with Greuther Furth is a genuine relegation six-pointer and as such we can expect a tense and low-scoring affair.

Florian Kohfeldt’s team are not only winless in their last 11 games in all competitions - which includes nine defeats - but have also failed to score at all in their last four Bundesliga clashes. So far this season they’ve averaged just 0.85 goals per game.

Typically, a home clash against Furth would offer the Wolves the perfect opportunity to turn their horrid Bundesliga season around, but while Stefan Leitl’s side remain rooted to the bottom of the league table, their form has improved ever so slightly. In fact, Furth have lost just one of their last six league games and will be heading to the Volkswagen Arena with every intention of frustrating their foes.

Much of that upturn in form is down to Leitl’s side getting to grips with their defence. Although the club have conceded a ridiculous 52 goals in 20 league games this season, that tally has shrunk to just six from their last six league games. And we can likely expect to see the visitors upset their hosts with defensive and stubborn football.

This Bundesliga clash on Sunday afternoon will undoubtedly be one for the purists and we can expect a low-scoring affair between either side.

Prediction: Under 2.5 Goals, 1.9 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️)
