Bochum v RB Leipzig
🏟
Sunday 27th February – 2:30PM KO
There’s little doubt that RB Leipzig’s new head coach Domenico Tedesco will face one of his toughest tests in the job when his side travel to Bochum in the hope of picking up all three points.
Their hosts on the day have picked up a number of big scalps in front of their own fans this season – most notably a 4-2 win over Bayern Munich a few weeks ago and a 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad in midweek – and have lost just two from 11 league games at home this season.
However, RB Leipzig have also impressed on the road lately, with no less than two wins and 10 goals from their last three away games in the Bundesliga. And in 11 away games in total, RB Leipzig’s encounters on the road currently average 2.63 goals. And Tedesco’s side will be hoping a high-scoring affair can be turned in their favour on Sunday.
Despite their impressive form at home this season, Bochum have still conceded 10 goals in 11 games and their league matches in front of their own fans have averaged 2.45 goals per game between both sides. And in their last three home clashes there have been no less than 11 goals. They may also be encouraged by Angelino missing through injury and promising, young central defender Josko Gvardiol serving a red-card ban for this game.
This clash will undoubtedly be a fun, well-contested affair between two in-form sides and as such we can expect to see plenty of goals.

Augsburg v Borussia Dortmund
🏟
Sunday 27th February – 4:30PM KO
Borussia Dortmund will be hoping to ride the feel-good vibes from their 6-0 annihilation of Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend when they travel to Augsburg on Sunday in what will definitely be a tricky encounter.
Despite sitting precariously close to the bottom of the table, Markus Weinzierl’s side have given a good go of it at home this season, with four wins and three draws from 11 matches in front of their own fans. Most interestingly, that has often led to a lot of goals with the Bavarian side scoring 16 and conceded 18 from those clashes. Which means an average of 3.09 goals per game.
For all their inconsistencies this season – such as their recent defeat to Rangers in the Europa League – Dortmund still have the third best away record in the German top flight and have scored an impressive 24 goals from just 11 games in this current league campaign. When we add their conceded goals to the mix – which is always important with this side – it averages out at a huge 3.8 conceded goals per away game.
Despite Erling Haaland still missing through injury, Dortmund will fancy their chances from this game but a safer bet will certainly be based on both sides racking up a high score line at the Augsburg Arena on Sunday.
