The pick of the games from the EFL on Wednesday night takes place in South Wales where Swansea host promotion-chasing West Bromwich Albion. We will be able to follow along live on Sky Sports which also makes it the ideal fixture for a bet builder. The Swans are absolutely buzzing following their morale-boosting 3-0 win over bitter rivals Cardiff City at the weekend and will be looking forward to this one. Highly-rated coach Russell Martin is now beginning to implement his unique style of football to the club and I feel Swansea will get stronger as the season progresses. As for WBA, well they as expected are fighting for promotion and sit second only behind Bournemouth in the Championship standings. Both sides look to be at more or less full strength with WBA defender Dara O’Shea the only notable absentee from either side. As ever, below are my three favourite Bet Builder tips for the game in Swansea. I have conducted my own research as well as referring to my Cheat Sheet and hope you make use of both when building your own bets for the game.
Swansea v West Brom Bet Builder tips
Ryan Manning to be Booked v West Brom
Some of you may have heard of the Swansea defender after the video of him getting absolutely leathered by Luton midfielder Henri Lansbury went viral. After Manning nudged the ball away, Hatters midfielder Henri Lansbury instead kicked the Republic of Ireland international with such force that the video went viral. 11 millions views on social media later and the Irishman is something of an internet sensation.
Well, let’s hope Manning does some kicking tonight and having looked through the cheat sheet he looks an excellent candidate to find himself in the referee’s notebook in this one. He tops the list at the Welsh club for both fouls committed (1.76) and yellow cards (3) and playing on the left hand side of a back three he could be up against some top quality attacking players. The WBA trio of Karlan Grant, Callum Robinson and Matty Phillips are arguably the best front 3 in the division and are sure to cause Manning all sorts of problems. At a price of 3.4, I feel he looks excellent value to pick up a card in this one.

Joel Piroe to have 1+ Shot on Target v West Brom
Swansea were taking a risk when they decided Piroe, a youngster with just one Eredivisie start to his name, was the man to fill the considerable void left by Andre Ayew. Fair to say the Dutchman has hit the ground running in South Wales with 7 goals in his 12 appearances to date. Piroe, who was once likened to Ruud van Nistelrooy and might have joined Juventus at one stage, has pedigree. He will be full of confidence following his goal against Cardiff at the weekend and will be keen to impress once more. Swansea fans absolutely love him with the chant of ‘no Piroe, no party’ pretty accurate in describing how important he is to the side.
His Cheat Sheet stats are mightily impressive too and he ranks the highest of all the Swansea players for both shots on target (1.62) and shots (3.59) and is the clear standout in this one and expect him to cause WBA all sorts of problems.

Karlan Grant to have 2+ Shots on Target v Swansea
Many, including myself, baulked at the figure WBA decided to play on Grant almost a year ago to the day as he signed from Huddersfield for a fee of just under £15m. Grant admits the past 12 months has been far from easy – with the 24-year-old having now rebuilt his confidence following a difficult start to life at The Hawthorns. He is flying recently though and looks much more at home in the Championship and comes into tonight having scored 4 goals in as many games. His 20 yard strike proved to be the difference in the Friday night win over Birmingham and he looks to be in fantastic nick in recent games.
His Cheat Sheet stats like Piroe are very impressive and he features highly on the list of WBA players. 1.37 shots on target and 2.7 shots attempted are impressive stats and given his recent goalscoring form I fancy him to try his luck plenty of times this evening.
