After opening their World Cup qualifying campaign with back-to-back wins to nil, Switzerland will look to maintain their momentum as they travel to face Sweden in Stockholm.
The Swiss have their sights set on top spot in Group B and automatic qualification to the World Cup, while the hosts face mounting pressure to respond after failing to win either of their first two group matches.

📈 Sweden v Switzerland Form & Stats
Before their current unbeaten streak, Switzerland endured a difficult spell, taking just two points from six Nations League matches. Although that came in a challenging group alongside Spain, Denmark and Serbia, it was still a disappointing run with all three away games ending in defeat.
Since then, however, Murat Yakin’s side have bounced back impressively and have produced some dominant displays. During the September international break, they beat Kosovo 4-0 and Slovenia 3-0 - both times scoring all of their goals in the first half. The Swiss have developed a habit of starting fast, and their front three of Breel Embolo, Ruben Vargas, and Dan N’Doye all enter this fixture in excellent form.
Sweden’s form has been a stark contrast - after topping their Nations League group with five wins and one draw from six matches, results have taken a dip. They lost 2-0 against Kosovo last time out, despite going into the match as heavy favourites, after also dropping points against Slovenia.
Despite being pegged back by a 90th-minute equaliser in that game, Sweden failed to create enough to justify the three points, and they will know that performances will have to improve. Both of their matches so far have been tough away games, so Sweden will relish the chance to feature on home turf here, but with their World Cup qualification hopes fading, the pressure is definitely on.
