Tommy Fury worthy hot favourite
Although he is best known for his stint on reality TV show Love Island, Tommy Fury has a close connection with the world of boxing. As the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, the 24-year-old has been around the boxing circuit since an early age and had a brief spell in professional boxing before crossing over to Misfits Boxing.
Fury never made a real impact in the professional game but his victory over fellow social media star Jake Paul in February 2023 put his name at the top of the Misfits world. With millions of social media followers, a hit Netflix documentary and the surname Fury, Tommy is very much the man to beat in Misfits Boxing.
A step too far for KSI?
KSI is the owner of the Misfits Boxing brand and is one of the biggest celebrities in the world. With a subscriber count on YouTube of almost 25 million, he is considered an influencer, a musician and is the co-founder of one of the fastest-growing brands in the world, Prime Hydration.
His white-collar contest with Logan Paul in 2018 produced groundbreaking numbers and he has since set on a journey to be recognised as a professional boxer. Wins over fellow celebrities have done nothing to grow his reputation as an athlete but there is no denying his star power, and he is the main reason Manchester’s AO Arena is sold out this weekend.
Bet 1: Tommy Fury to win in Rounds 1-3
🏆 Tommy Fury to win in Rounds 1-3
📈
Odds: 4.33
The fight week antics between these two have only helped grow an already massive event, but when it comes to assessing the actual matchup, it’s important to remember they are novice boxers.
A quick scouting mission of either fighter will show you that they are still learning when it comes to technique, ring IQ and most importantly defence. Being from a fighting family, Fury is slightly ahead of KSI in every department but he is very much a work-in-progress and the fact he was dropped in his fight against Jake Paul highlights just that.
When two big personalities come together like this, ego usually takes over and when you add 20,000 screaming fans into the equation, it is very likely that this fight will start fast with both men wanting to get the crowd on their side.
Given the distinct lack of defence, it’s very likely that big shots will be landed early and if they do trade toe-to-toe, Tommy Fury should have a natural advantage. He has only registered four knockouts in nine fights but KSI has shown vulnerabilities before and if Fury lands clean in the early exchanges, he can force a stoppage in the first half of the fight.

Bet 2: Tommy Fury to win in Round 2 & KSI to be knocked down in Round 1 (25/1)
🏆 Tommy Fury to win in Round 2 & KSI to be knocked down in Round 1
📈
Odds: 26.00
At bigger odds, a bet to look at is Tommy Fury to win in round 2 and KSI to be knocked down in round 1 at 25/1.
Given the expected chaos, it is likely that KSI touches the canvas early in this fight but the nature of these Misfit events is to put on a spectacle so the officials will give each fighter every chance to continue, providing it is safe.
Tommy Fury hasn’t shown evidence of punching hard enough to finish this with one punch, it is accumulation that should get him the finish so it is likely that KSI will be able to survive at least one onslaught.
Another factor to consider is the powers of recovery, professional boxers are taught how to survive when hurt and the minute rest in between rounds is so important. It’s very unlikely that KSI (or his team) will use this minute effectively if it is necessary.
