Both Teams to Score

At first glance, recent trends may not scream BTTS, but context is everything. Bodø/Glimt have won their last eight home games across all competitions, doing so by multiple goals in seven of them, including a remarkable 2-0 victory over Lazio in the quarter-final. While their backline has kept four straight clean sheets, few sides have successfully silenced Spurs in Europe this season.

Tottenham have found the net in 12 of 13 European outings this campaign, and if the hosts strike first, Spurs are all but guaranteed to respond.

Over 2.5 Goals

The first leg showed what both teams are capable of going forward, and where their weaknesses lie at the back. The tactical dynamics of the second leg, with Bodø chasing the game, increase the likelihood of a high-scoring affair.

If Bodø get the opener, Spurs will no doubt go in search of an equaliser, potentially exposing themselves on the break. However, if Spurs score first, the tie suddenly demands multiple Bodø responses. In short, whichever way the game tilts, it pulls both sides into attack, making three or more goals a very reasonable expectation.

Fredrik André Bjørkan to Commit 1+ Fouls

This price feels inflated considering Bjørkan’s recent output and the matchup at hand. Averaging 1.06 fouls per 90 in the Europa League, the left back has committed seven fouls across his last four starts in all competitions. He’s set to face Brennan Johnson, who wins nearly one foul per 90 and has drawn at least one in seven of his last eight starts. With Johnson’s pace in transition, expect Bjørkan to be tested frequently.

Brennan Johnson to be Fouled 1+ time

This selection complements the Bjørkan foul angle, with a surprisingly generous price attached to it. Johnson has won a foul in 7 of his last 8 starts, including the first leg, and draws 0.99 fouls per 90. Bjørkan, his likely direct opponent, has committed 10 fouls in his last 7 Europa League appearances, and his high positioning leaves him vulnerable to being caught out by Johnson’s pace.

Bodø/Glimt to have 5+ Shots on Target

At home, Bodø/Glimt are relentless. They’re averaging 6.08 shots on target per home game this season and have landed five or more in all but two matches on home soil. Against a Spurs side conceding 5.43 shots on target per game away from home, this line looks very achievable.

In fact, eight of Tottenham’s last 10 hosts have managed to test their keeper at least five times, something a confident, attack-minded Bodø should replicate with ease.

Over 1.5 Tottenham Cards

Spurs are averaging 2.11 cards per away game across all competitions, with 2+ cards shown in four of their last five, including three yellows in their quarter-final second leg away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Whether Spurs are chasing the game or defending a narrow lead, their physicality is a strength over their opposition and that could lead to cards as they look to impose themselves.

Destiny Udogie to be Fouled 2+ Times

Udogie is Spurs’ second-most fouled player behind Maddison, drawing 1.76 fouls per 90. He’s won multiple fouls in eight of his last 12 starts, including each of his last four, and that includes the first leg. Although Bodø aren’t frequent foulers, European knockout ties often see frustration and tactical fouls rise, especially against sides with pace in transition. Udogie’s driving runs down the flank should draw plenty of attention.

Ulrik Saltnes to be Fouled 2+ times

Saltnes is Bodø’s most fouled player in Europe, drawing 1.4 fouls per 90 and 2+ in each of his last three. He’s likely to square off with Kulusevski, who commits 1.81 fouls per 90, and a Spurs right hand side that’s given up 11 fouls in their last three.

Saltnes won three fouls in the reverse fixture and will again be central to Bodø’s efforts in controlling the midfield tempo.
