Melbourne City v Adelaide United
🏟
Tuesday 15th February – 8:55AM KO
Melbourne City continued their good run of form with the side’s victory over Western Sydney Wanderers on Friday meaning the side have won three of their last four games in the A-League. They welcome Adelaide to AAMI Park on Wednesday and will be up against it with Adelaide sitting just four points behind the hosts.
Melbourne City are the current top scorers in the league, scoring four more than their opponents this week with the goalscoring exploits of Jamie Maclaren, Andrew Nabbout and Matt Leckie propelling the side up the league. A win here would lift them to the top of the league and confidence is high as City look to retain their league title.
Adelaide United have been lethal in front of goal themselves, scoring 18 times and being the second highest scorers so far this term. Their main goal threat has been Craig Goodwin and he’ll be looking to add to his tally on Wednesday against the reigning champions.
With both of these sides finding the net with such regularity as well as having some suspect defences (City have conceded 16 times and Adelaide 14) the goals could well be flowing this weekend and the 2.5 goal line should be soundly beaten.

Wellington Phoenix v Brisbane Roar
🏟
Wednesday 16th February – 6:25AM KO
Wellington Phoenix picked up a creditable point against Adelaide United at the weekend but saw their run of three straight A-League wins ended as a result. Brisbane Roar put in their best performance of the season claim a victory against Macarthur on Sunday and will be hoping that result kick starts their season.
Wellington come into this game with the best home record in the league having picked up 13 points from a possible 18 so far this season. They are unbeaten in four at WIN Stadium with victories over Western United, Macarthur and Melbourne Victory in that time. Perhaps worryingly, the side have only scored 11 goals in 10 games this season but nine of those have come when they are the home side.
Brisbane Roar can’t claim to have similar form on the road with the side picking up just one point from five games away from home. They have also only scored three times with The Roar really struggling to find the net this season. That being said, Brisbane have scored in each of their last five matches.
Wellington come into this game in good form but this isn’t reflected in the market. They should be picking up all three points from this contest but the double chance gives some security in case Brisbane Roar arrive with the kind of form they have shown glimpses of at points this season.

Western Sydney Wanderers v Melbourne Victory
🏟
Wednesday 16th February – 8:55AM KO
Western Sydney Wanderers lost their third game in four at the weekend, being defeated 3-1 by Melbourne City. They face another Melbourne side on Wednesday with Victory arriving at CommBank Stadium. Melbourne Victory suffered a defeat themselves at the weekend, being down 2-1 by Newcastle Jets.
Western Sydney have had a season to forget so far this season, picking up just nine points in the A-League and scoring at a rate of less than a goal a game. Their recent form hasn’t given them much to shout about with five losses in their last seven games and the side look devoid of confidence ahead of what could be another really tough tie on Wednesday.
Melbourne Victory started the season very well but things haven’t gone right for the side recently with two draws and two losses in their last four games. They will be hoping to put a halt to that run of form and a game against a struggling Wanderers side could be the perfect game for them at this point. Melbourne Victory have scored 1.5 goals per game so far this season and it isn’t hard to see them improving that in this game. Victory being the away side throws a little more doubt into this tie but Western Sydney have looked really poor this season. Melbourne Victory will be hoping to put their poor form behind them but with a draw no bet option, there is plenty of security in case their run of disappointing results continues
